This homeplate ump at West Michigan is an absolute joke. My gods. Both umps. After Fernandez gets absolutely hosed by a check swing strike call, the home plate ump just jobs him on an inside high breaker. Not even close to a strike. What the heck is this?!? Thank you Victor. You screamed for all of us. LOL.

Adams came in with a 5-game hitting streak during which he has 5 hits, 7 walks, 2 HBPs. And he boasted a 1.014 June OPS (35 PAs). Great to see him heating up!

This is the third consecutive start for Manuel Rodriguez pitching to at least the 5th inning. He's in the 6th at just 63 pitches. And, these hits of late are not hard hit. He gives up a lead-off flare to CF. Not hit hard whatsoever. 1-1 game. Top of 6th. Nobody down.

Yeah, I had the COVID 2x! LOL. And, oddly, I don't ever use bookmarks. But they got there. LOL. I used to Day-Trade. SO, when I shifted to Swing Trading and LT trades I had to make a folder of strategies from my various communities and teaching. That's hilarious I screenshot them tho. 😅

Big out for Rodriguez there - a weak pop fly that landed in a glove (for a change this inning!). Two down now. He can escape. Complete the 6th and keep a 1-1 tie here.

Rodriguez walks the next batter. Worked it full 3-2 and then threw high and inside. Bases juiced. 1-1 game. Two down. 78 pitches thrown from young Manuel. First pitch low and away. 1-0 count. No matter! Rodriguez gets the slow roller to Di Turi. He escapes.

O'Rae has walked the bases loaded in the top of the 5th for the T-Rats. Nobody down. Three straight free passes. 

Meanwhile, Ashby just gave up a two-out line drive 2-RBI single in Gwinnett. Bottom of the 3rd. 3-2 Sounds. Runners had advanced to 2nd and 3rd via a WP. 

Areinamo just grounded out to a 1-RBI one out force out at 2B. 3-1 T-Rats.

Pratt singled off the 2B glove and then stole 2B. He's on 2nd. Nobody down. Guilarte to the dish and he pop flies on an inside heater to the 3B. Gotta take that pitch, Daniel. One down. 1-1 game.

Areinamo shows that T-Rats base running savvy. He catches the Caps napping and takes second base on the throw back to the mound. THEN a balk is called on a swinging strike from Adams. 4-1 T-Rats.

Castillo up now with two men on 1st and 2nd. One down. He hit his 9th HR of his season earlier - 2nd in the Carolina League. He pops up harmlessly to 2B. Shot out of cannon straight up. Two down now for Yoshwar Garcia.

Rodriguez is pitching into the 7th. What can't this 18-year-old do? Such an impressive season. Now four straight pitching 5 or more innings. Unreal stuff from the talented righty.

5 K now for Rodriguez. He gets a swinging K for his second out of the 7th frame. Nobody on. Two down. 6 2/3 IP so far.

That's two check swings T-Rats batters have vehemently disagreed with. AND, I have to say, itappeared both batters were correct. And, now, Chirinos has been tossed after he gave some words to the 1B umpire. Second T-Rat ejection. LOL. Jesus will take the long walk to the CF gate as well. Still a 4-1 game. 

Meanwhile, Rodriguez ends his 7th frame with another K. Stronger as the game got longer. Unreal performance. Love it. 1-1 game and we head to the bottom half.

Ashby has been done in by some absolute flare pokes tonight. 3-3 game now after another looper somehow finds the LF grass over a leaping and diving Freddy Zamora. Unreal.

Figueroa will get the first call out of the Mudcats bullpen. He gets a slow grounder to 2B for the first out. 1-1 game here in the top of the 8th.

Meanwhile, RHP Stiven Cruz on to spell Manfredi to open the 6th. He jumps ahead 0-2 and then proceeds to walk his first batter. Buckle down, young man. let's get it going! Man on first now. Nobody out.

Figueroa gives up a 3-1 walk. Then throws a WP in the dirt and to the backstop. Man in scoring position. One down. He then throws a ball low and in the dirt and it squeaks behind the catcher. Runner advances to 3B. 3-0 now on the next batter. Figueroa making it hard for himself here.

Cruz gave up a single to CF next. Men on 1st and 2nd. Nobody down. He gets the 5-4-3 DP for his first two outs. Noice. Man on 3rd. Two down now.
