Your intuition was correct……Murphy said after the game that he may have slept wrong or something but he had a little left shoulder discomfort…….said they didn’t want to risk anything…….so he was down today.

will be something to monitor but left shoulder is certainly better than right shoulder.

I don't know. Sounds like something they tell you to put lesser pitchers on IL as they've been known to do.

As recently as July 13th, they were 29 games over .500, when we were only 12 over. Didn't realize how much they've scuffled in the 2nd half. 12-20. Ouch.
