Why are we paying Nixon 18 million/year to NOT return kicks.  That seems a lot to pay a mediocre nickel back

Nixon’s deal was $18M for three years with only $6.5M guaranteed.

We're gonna have to find a LT better than Walker pretty soon.

Too bad we didn't work out 1st round LT at tackle all spring and summer…

We have played good football the last few weeks, and made both games unnecessarily closer than they need to be with our tendency to consistently shoot ourselves in the foot. Untimely penalties, untimely sacks, mental mistakes.

$18 million? That can't be right.

8 million - sorry fat fingers. Although with an over six million signing bonus he’s making almost 15 million this year

Walker hasn't been very good so far this year.

I never got the confidence in Walker this off season - seemed like a good swing tackle rather than a starting LT

Yeah, there just aren’t any better options on the roster right now. That gamble isn’t working out so far.

But the gamble on Willis? That’s looking like a huge payout.

Makes you wonder what Tennessee sees in Levis. They may bench him soon in favor of Rudolph.

They may need to keep a package just for him even when love comes back.

Pre-draft, the consensus on Willis wasn't very consistent across the board. Some guys saw a top 5 pick, others saw an undraftable bust. The 3rd round was a little bit of a slip for him -- those who liked him often gave him some pre-draft comps to Lamar Jackson.

Now, while I know that that's an embellishment and he's not Lamar, when you watch him play and look at that comp, you're kind of like, yeah, I get why they said that.

I’ve seen this thrown out as a possibility in a few places on the interwebs, and my gut reaction was to disregard it—why pay Love the most money in football and willingly keep him on the sidelines for any length of time? But maybe, just maybe, Willis gives you some juice as a wildcat/option type that a series or two for him might have some worth.

I’m still a little skeptical.

Willis has been even more turnover prone than Levis.  That last play was what they saw, the tight end is open and on the dump off but Willis didn't make it through his reads.

If that's the worst thing Willis does today, I'll be extremely happy.

I don't want to say Willis isn't playing well, he clearly is.  Especially considering he has two weeks to get things together.  Just that there are reasons why he went where he did in the draft and why Tennessee went with Levis.  LaFleur is also a better coach then Willis ever had before with the ability to shape game plans to him.

I'd like to see if Caleb Williams can set the NFL record today for the most yards thrown without scoring any points. That'd be a cool little notch on his belt.

You could say this about a lot of drafts and players. Sometimes they just end up being wrong.
