Shuckers' Opening Night is Friday 4/4 - at Pensacola (Marlins).

The eventual Biloxi formal roster announcement will come directly from the Shuckers, not the Brewers, once the Brewers have given the Shuckers the official go-ahead to do so.

Feel free to link to any formal Shuckers notices you see.

Sometimes, but not as often as we used to, we learn via player social media, who has been assigned where, prior to the formal affiliate announcements. We'll link to any of those posts in this thread as they come out.

As you might know, we use the "Your 2025" team threads to post and link to feature stories, including audio and video, that are outside the scope of game activity covered in the Daily Minor League Link Report.

These threads have become among the most popular for viewing here.

Please do not speculate on any player releases. Brewers Player Development or MiLB.com will update us formally.

24-year-old OF Garrett Spain, who was plucked from the Blue Jays' system in the minor league phase of Rule 5 in December, had his status moved from Nashville to Biloxi. Spain was at the AA level for nearly all of 2024 (two games at AAA around the 4th of July) and has been healthy for each of the last two seasons, but his numbers leave much to be desired, as you'll see at the linked player page. The Brewers will hope to coax more from him with the Shuckers.

Wow that media guide is impressive, and yes I love the optimism of his best guesses as Jesus Made is in the Shuckers guide. Alright Javik I would love to see him on the Shuckers during the Southern League championship games.

No Quero, Wichrowski, Crow, or O'Rae.

At least Quero's back up to AAA. No idea on O'Rae and Wichrowski. Crow's name only showed up on the final day of the ST lineups, so he's probably ramping up arm strength.

I don't think I'll be able to handle a Wichrowski injury. I am really high on him. Woodward, Cortez, Wagoner and Low were enough blows

Guess we will see if Quero is going to be on the active roster or the IL for Nashville.

20-year olds Luis Lara, Cooper Pratt and Luke Adams lead the youngster brigade, with Lara and Adams promoted to the AA level for the first time (Pratt was up for the 2024 playoffs). Congrats to other promoted players (e.g. Alexander Cornielle (23), Tyler Bryant (26), LHP Mark Manfredi (25), etc.).

It’s odd not to see LHP Brian Fitzpatrick (2.69 ERA in 70.1 High-A IP) or INFs Jadher Areinamo (.791 OPS vs. .684 league average, gold glove defense) and Eduardo Garcia (commenced 2024 in AA ball) included, but the ST lineups suggested they’d start the season in High-A Wisconsin for some reason.

Did I miss this? I thought Quero was starting the year at AA.

Maybe he starts on IL to get extended at bats while building up arm strength??

O'Rae was missing the last week in minor league line ups, and was reported at some event/function that Mass/Jim posted about in Canada.

I hope nothing is wrong with Wichrowski, but with the way this season is going Wich is probably sidelined... 😡

He is currently listed as 'Active' on the Nashville roster page, but, unfortunately you and I both know those aren't exactly all that accurate. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I noted that immediately and legitimately felt my stomach drop. This has been a brutal past 30 days. Here's hoping we see some rays of light.

Darrien Miller! That is impressive. He must've understood the great benefit of being bi-lingual as a catcher (and as a man). Love it. Love it. LOVE it. That skill transcends the game.

I enjoy watching minor league games via the MLB app. However, the Biloxi Shuckers CF camera angle is so crooked that it makes me dizzy.

Gotta be tough running uphill to first.
