I'll be there all weekend, and this will be stadium #16 for me.

Any tips or pointers from those who have been there before?

Parking, eats, etc...

Thanks!

It’s an awful place if the roof is closed. Dark, dreary inside. Get there early and eat at one of the restaurants outside the park. The burger place is good. Taco place. Blanking on names.

I went to Citifield on Sunday. Park #31 for me. Seven more to go

It is going to be abnormally hot this weekend.  Supposed to be in the upper 90’s so prepare for that.

Parking is a pain in the butt in downtown Phoenix.  Sometimes it is fine and other times ugggg is it bad.  It is also freaking expensive to park down there.  A good place to park is the parking garage in cityscape.  It is close to the stadium and also close to places to eat.  There is a parking garage right across the street from the stadium but good luck getting out of there after the game as that is on a one way street.  Cityscape is a bit of a walk but is easier to get out of.

As for food any of the restaurants are good down there.  There is a BoSa donuts next to the stadium which is really good.  Hanny’s, Monroe’s Hot Chicken, Breakfast Club, Arrogant Butcher, The Taco Spot, Ziggy’s Magic Pizza Shop and Cornish Pasty Co are some of my favorites.  If you like a dive bar then try Seamus on Central and Monroe.

Hammytime and I will be there for Friday and Saturday's games.  We'll drive home on Sunday.

Yeah, parking sucks.  I recommend you find a lot somewhere and take the tram in to the downtown area.  Or if your hotel is close-ish to a tram stop, even better.  That what we're doing.

Food is hit and miss, in my experience.  Outside the park, there are plenty of good restaurants but might be pricey.  Inside the park . . . . ugh.  Never been much of a fan of their food, overall.  Cactus League Nachos are good, but not sure if they sell them anymore (it was a specialty cart) as are the Hungry Hill sausages (better than the stuff from the generic concession stands, IMO.)

We hit all three games there last year towards the end of the year.  It was very hot outside.

I thought the indoor atmosphere was good.  The Arizona fans get into it, and they are not rude.  I think you will have fun watching the games.  I would suggest getting in the lower part of the stadium, though.  I heard it gets quite warm up top (but that was late in the year last year).

We got an Airbnb about 4 blocks away since we had 6 people.  If we didn't walk to the stadium, we got an Uber.  We did have a rental car, though, and for the last day we parked in the parking structure across 7th street (that is to the East of the stadium).  Very easy walk.  I don't remember how much it cost, but it was worth it.

We ate at Guy Fieri's and it was ok.  There were a lot of football games on and it was really cool that we were outdoors right next to the stadium.  The food just seemed like it could be better.  People told us to go to Willie's Tacos about a block away.  I don't know if it would be good or not.

There was a place close by called *** Burgers.  The food was pretty good, but it is a bit of a hole in the wall.  They have burgers, gyros, and other items.  The Kool-Aid main is the cool attraction 😉.  I wish I would have taken a picture.
