I never mentioned Ortiz. Just mentioned that Adames defense has been bad this year and was bad last year. We don't miss his defense. We miss how he hit last season.

Like I said if you prefer Ortiz defense do you.

Well it's not me. It's every defensive statistic that says Adames is bad defensively.

STOP SWINGING AT BALLS.

They need to give Chourio a few days off and send him to an optometrist while he has those days off.

Well apparently you agree so that's fine. I'll take Adames.

I have the solution for Chourio’s problem.

I’ll bench him on my fantasy team. That usually produces results.

His scouting  report is very simple. Throw him sweeping curve balls at least a foot off the plate. .

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

You knew Chourio had no shot

The ninth inning has been a microcosm of the Brewers the last several weeks. Mitchell and Chourio strike out and then Yelich with a ground out. And the problems don’t just stop there. throw in Ortiz and whoever is playing third base that day and half the Brewers lineup has been a black hole. It’s a miracle the Brewer’s record is above 0.500. You can’t send 50% of your lineup down to Nashville.

The Brewers have seven regulars - Frelick (138), Turang (136), Hoskins (128), Durbin (112), Yelich (110), Chourio (101), and Contreras (100) - who have been average or better by wRC+ this year.

Which two or three of those guys need to go down to Nashville to make it 50% of the lineup?

None. The point I was trying to make was that during large segments of the season there have been multiple players (usually 2-3) that have been mired into slumps simultaneously, not the same players but different (Chourio, Mitchell, and Ortiz then Yelich, Contreras, Ortiz and Hoskins). It’s never 1 or 2 players slumping at the same time but 3 or 4. At least Frelick and Turang have been more or less consistent all season.
Also a very recent trend has been scoring >7 runs per game then followed by 0-2 runs a game. Very frustrating in my humble opinion.

I hope my initial comment makes more sense with my further explanation.

I think this is what concerns me and several other people.

A disproportionate number of the Brewers runs have come in very lopsided wins and a couple of lopsided losses. The number of games in which they have scored two or less is alarming.
