The only thing that gives me hope…the Brewers were 16-16 on May 2, 2024.

We didn’t get spanked nearly as often last year - we played better defensively & we were in most games … this team doesn’t appear be as good as last year’s squad

Plus, the Cubs look a lot better than they were last year.  They're going to win a lot of games this year, as painful as it is to say.  Going to be difficult to win the division.

19 inning scoreless streak.

Actually 20 scoreless innings. But who's counting.

Hope the Cubs stay at the Pfister Hotel and the ghosts there really mess with them tonight.

Bauers still our best reliever 0.00 ERA

If the AI answers I got are accurate:

Bauers is now tied with 2019 Russell Martin for best position player pitching season since at least 2000.  Both 4 G, 4 IP and a 0.00 ERA.

Bauers is one out from Luis Gonzalez's 4.1 IP in 2022 as the most innings a position player has pitched in a season since at least 2000.  Gonzalez had a 6.32 ERA.

LOL, Bauers will want a big contract next year.

Murphy's brilliant, he said were 4 from the top and 4 from the bottom. That's our reality right now dat's what it is.

I think they stay at Counsell's mansion!

Chourio swings at everything like he doesn't know the strike zone at all.

A terrific talent. But IMO the next step in his development is to get past his apparent belief that there's a "shot clock" attached to his ABs----that if he doesn't swing within 1 or 2 pitches he'll be called out. Think about the tougher hitters Brewer pitchers have faced over the years. Even when you retire them, it's like pulling teeth---the close takes just off the plate, the foul balls on quality pitches around the black, seven, eight, nine pitches thrown. He (and Yelich) are not only failing lately, but their ABs are way, way too stress-free for the opposition. Fortunately Chourio has a lot of time to grow. He'll learn (I think).

I get the joke, but I know exactly where Counsell’s house in Whitefish Bay is, and while it’s a nice house in a nice neighborhood it is hardly a mansion.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Can you toilet-paper it for me?

Jays gave all their money to Vlad. Make an offer for Bichette. He's not staying there. Build a package and try to keep him long term. He needs a reset.

He also could just be cooked. Below average glove and below average runner means you’re betting almost entirely on the bat. A long term deal would not be within the risk appetite for this franchise

Perhaps I’m missing a joke, but they were 19-11 at this point last year

If we’re looking for hope, we did get punked in the series opener against both the Royals and Tigers and then followed those by winning the series
