Hey, I'm entirely neutral on what is happening with the Big Club. This type of regression had to be expected at some point. My only contention is: realize what you have going on in the lower levels. Do not continue to give away that wealth like they just did with Priester. One of those with team control is fine. I can stomach that and I get it. I don't necessarily agree with it. But, it's defensible. BUT, no more desperation anything. There are way too many holes. My very personal opinion is they should absolutely be preparing to Sell and retool and ADD.

Hypothetically speaking what kind of minor league piece could we get back for Freddy given that he has 2 more years of control? Lawlar was always the dream but that might be a bit of a pipe dream.

Welch, at a pitch count of 73, is facing some trouble here in the fourth. He just walked a man aboard. Men on 1st and 2nd now. One down. Now down 3-0 in the count to the next hitter. He is just missing on several of these off-speed pitches. Like a matter of an inch.

Yeah, the ump is absolutely squeezing Welch on the low outside corner. I am pretty convinced the ump has stolen two strikes from him this frame including a K looking. Bases now juiced. One down. That's consecutive free passes. Welch's 2025 struggles continue. He falls behind 2-1 to the next hitter. Deep sac fly to deep CF. Tie game 3-3.

Wow gotta think Welch's night is done soon.

He was a draft pick last year and started at high-A gotta keep that in mind, but he is not finding the same success so far as his draft-classmate.

He actually started at Low-A. He got a cup of coffee in the T-Rats playoffs, however. He's a low velo guy tho so he has to be spot on and getting those calls on the outer edges of the zone. He doesn't have a ton of deception.

SOrry I meant to say he started this season out a High-A, I forgot he got to the T-Rats in the playoffs as I remember him debuting with carolina last year.

Hunt really struggling with consistency. He can get into rhythm but then can't keep it, and he will just miss with his stuff. Last year he was in the zone and consistent.

That's an interesting question. I personally have never thought of the Brewers trading Peralta. He seems way too much their poster child for 'Brewers'. But, given the two years of control and if things got bad enough I guess he could become available with the year he is having. What would he get in return? I have absolutely no idea.😅

Hunt escapes. Man, he is very obviously dealing with some type of right ankle issue. It's reared its head in both of his last two starts. He mildly tweaked it again covering first base there.

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin RHP Dikember Sanchez is on in relief. He fell behind 3-0 and then gave up a single into CF. He has fallen behind his next hitter as well.

Hunt escapes the jam. The Biscuits sacrifice bunt and Hunt with a nice play to get him. Then a ground just fair to Adams who tosses to Hunt. Hunt walks gingerly for a few steps, maybe there is an ankle/foot/leg issue with him that could explain some of his inconsistencies this season??

Yup. It is obviously popping up in every recent outing. That's twice tonight. Popped up in the first inning his last home start too. Both resulted in mound visits but he stayed in the game and toughed it out.

Sanchez's disastrous 2025 campaign continues. An absolute 3-2 hanger is gapped to deep right CF. Garcia slips and slides trying to corral and turn. The relay throw to 3B looked like it may have got the runner but no matter the infield ump called him safe in a bang-bang play. 4-3 Sky Carp.

Sanchez continues to need way too many pitches on average per AB. He is falling behind too much. He just hasn't been sharp all season. Very much not the same pitcher we saw close out 2024.

Man, I really like this righty pitching for the Biscuits right now. Johnson. He is really sharp.

Yup, would be a nice add to the organization, wonder if they will trade him 😂

And, from a 2-2 count, Sanchez walks another. Like I said: disastrous campaign.

AND, even better, RHP Yerlin Rodriguez is getting ready in the Pen.

AND, first pitch 3-run blast over the LF wall greets Sanchez facing the next batter. Absolutely no doubt. Low. Middle. Off-speed. 7-3 T-Rats trail. Good grief, Sanchez is a disaster in 2025. No other way of getting around it.

Petersen in for Hunt who completed 4 IP.

And the first batter grounds one past a diving Murray. C'mon Nate - let's go

Oh and just missed a HBP. Yikes.  Settle in Nate, you can do this and get some big outs here.

He worked around the single, and allowed him to steal 2nd and later 3rd base. But a few fly outs and Petersen is out of the inning. Still 5-2 good guys

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin with Alastre standing on 3rd base after reaching via a swinging K PB, Areinamo K'd looking. Burke K'd looking at three consecutive sliders. The very much playing like a sub 0.500 ball club T-Rats still trail 7-3.

Shuckers are finally getting to Johnson. He fails to record an out so far in the sixth. Mound visit. After a HB (Murray in the upper back) put two men on, Spain ripped a single up the middle and Miller scored. 6-2 Shuckers.

Meanwhile, Sanchez let the lead-off batter aboard in his second inning with a single up the middle. That batter stole 2B (no throw from Diaz). Ump squeezes him on a 3-2 off-speed pitch that very clearly looked at the knees and on the outer black. He walks him. Two men on. Tough watch.

Shuckers get another run - Miller walks, and Murray HBP (wait? a non-Miller, non-Adams HBP??)

Then a single to RF by Spain. 6-2 Shuckers. The Biscuits pitcher Johnson is out - due to injury didn't see what exactly. New pitcher in and 2 runners still on with no outs.

Let's add insult to injury. Runner double steal. Diaz is slow to pop. Throw is slightly up line. Baez carelessly lets the ball skip off his glove into shallow LF. Just a lazy play. These T-Rats really are a challenging watch. Predictably, because Minor Leagues are for every aspect of Minor Leagues, they credit Diaz with the error on the throw. Look, the throw was up line toward 2B. BUT, that was on Baez who lazily tried to catch and tag in one motion when all he should have done is catch that ball.
