That pitch on Lameda may have been a strike. But when you keep missing you aren’t getting the call. And Muddies are showing plate discipline- well except for Bitonti.

Arizona Brewers youngest batters lead the league in walks, Carolina Mudcats youngest batters lead the league in walks, Biloxi youngest batters lead the league in walks.

& here I though kids these days had no patience, not to mention the old "Can't Walk Off The Island" old school scout take.

Made makes it in base again on a slow roller to second who bobbles and it’s ruled an error, but I think Made will have made it anyway.

Anderson grounds out to 3rd.  8-1 game. Wow what a turn of events from Garcia having to work around his 5th inning with runners on, but he keeps it a 1-1 game. Then they erupts in walk-fest.

I love it when the DSL bleeds into the Carolina League on behalf of our Muddies. Makes a grown man tear up. Like an Honoring of their collective youth. Times not so long ago when these wee pups were, well, still wee pups BUT they were wee pups in a wee different place! Nostalgia fills the Fredericksburg infield dirt...

Easton McGee gave up a solo shot in the first, but NASH answered back with an Adam Hall single, Oliver Dunn single, EMJ double, and Anthony Seigler sac fly to take a 2-1 lead into the second.

Seppings with 2 efficient innings. Going to the 8th.

Not quite so efficient in the 9th allowing a pair of walks and a single, but ultimately put up the zero to notch the three inning save.

Almost 😉

He got them through 8.  On to top of 9.

Good thing there was another inning for the Mudcats after all.

Jose Anderson walked, Filippo Di Turi doubled, and a Demetrio Nadal groundout tacked on a ninth Carolina run.

Nashville’s series finale against Scranton/WB is rained out after 1.5 innings, which based on past experience means the stats get wiped out too.

Sorry EMJ (RBI double), Hall (single, run), Dunn (single, run), Seigler (sac fly). Lucky for Herron (error wiped out). So-so for McGee (2 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 3 Ks in 38 pitches).

Miles Langhorne gets the ninth inning call and works around a pair of walks and an E6 before punching out the last batter to secure the 27th out (for real this time).

RHP Coleman Crow makes his 2nd start of the week (6 IP, 2 R, 2 Ks in 70 pitches on Tuesday) for AA Biloxi, which has already won its home series over Knoxville. 1B Luke Adams’ on-base streak is now 19 games.

22-year old RHP Jaron DeBerry (1.04 ERA, 13 Ks in 8.2 Low-A IP) makes his High-A debut as Wisconsin aims to complete a 5-1 series win at South Bend. Daniel Guilarte makes his 2nd start of the year at shortstop. CF Eduardo Garcia has a 7-game hitting streak.

Coleman Crow had a rough first inning giving up three runs, but Biloxi is fighting back in the second with Brock Wilken & Zavier Warren singles plus a Darrien Miller walk loading the bases up with no outs for Garrett Spain who responded with an RBI single to get the Shuckers on the board.

Bases still loaded with nobody out for Jheremy Varga who lines into an unassisted double play taking out the runner at third. Will be up to Bladimir Restituyo now.

OK. Planned shorter outing. He did throw 70 pitches on Tuesday. He left with a man on 1B and two down. Mendoza gave up the fourth run...that will be charged to Crow. The ol' RISP psychhhhhe!
