After Nate Peterson went 3U3D (1 K) in the seventh Biloxi tacks on an insurance run in their half with a Darrien Miller walk (wild pitch) to third on a Garrett Spain fly out (another wild pitch) getting the job done.

McWilliams escapes a men on 2nd and 3rd two out jam with a hard hit line out to 2B Raynel Delgado (who also snagged out one with a diving grab of a 106 mph liner up the middle - grab him a beer, Sam!). On to the bottom of the 7th. 3-2 Sounds.

Dubanewicz got the first two batters of the third and was up 0-2 on the #9 hitter before giving up his first hit of the game, a double.

Bounces back and gets a groundout to end the inning.

Tyler Bryant on for the eighth and goes 4U3D (1 BB | 2 K) to hold the Shuckers 2-0 lead.

The walk was palatable - he threw two very very close heaters in that count called balls. In Double-A I've seen them both go for strikes.

RHP Tyler Bryant is absolutely back. My goodness. That was a filthy inning of relief work. You want to see a guy completely off most fans' radars but (as Spencer alluded to in today's article) absolutely has Big League stuff...watch this version of dialed-in Bryant.

By my count, C Jeferson Quero does not know how to use the challenge system. He's cost his pitchers at least two strikes with his unwillingness to use it tonight. Liranzo gets his own strike 3 here in the top of the 8th requesting a challenge from the mound with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd. He succeeds.

RHP Justin Yeager will try to close out the 2-0 game here in the 9th. He gets the hard hit ground out to Vargas at 2B (nice play). He gives up the one out single to RF. He now gets the fly out to RF. Two down. Man on first. Shuckers lead 2-0.

AND he gets the weak ground out to Zavi Warren at 1B. Yeah baby. They gain a game on the Biscuits in the process. Woot Woot! They now lead the Biscottis by 3.0 G. Great win. Great pitching. That's three runs allowed in 3 games. 4 runs in four games. Whewwwww.

Dubanewicz worked around a pair of singles to put up another zero in the fourth.

In the bottom half a Corobo walk, Kevin Garcia double and Engel Paulino sac fly scored a second run for the Zona Crew.

Ortuno walks and we’ve got runners on the corners and a mound visit before Handelfry comes up trying to add on.

Huge insurance run via a ballsy 6 pitch walk versus the triple digit flame thrower in RHP Jhancarlos Lara. He did not throw a single heater in that AB. Freddy laid off two very very close pitches to take the free pass. Pro AB right there. Sounds lead 4-2. Bases still juiced. Two down. Pitching change.

& Handelfry comes thru with the RBI single, 3-0 lead.

Then Quintana stays hot with an RBI single of his own, 4-0.

And Jimmy Herron greets the new reliever with a 1-1 single to LF. He extends his on base streak to 18 games. It is now a 6-2 game. Just like that. And, we tip our caps and take a cold sip in honor of Zamora's AB that got this all in motion. The name of this game is the Sounds two out rallies. 

AND, just like that Herron bates a pick-off attempt. Zamora timed his break perfectly and just beats the throw to home plate. A better throw gets him. BUT, that's not how this works. 7-2 Sounds babayyyyyy.

Seigler follows suit with a single poke to left CF. 8-2. Man, what an inning! The dugout exploded with that successful double steal.

RF Adam Hall just tripped on the Stripers' bullpen mound and went flying into the wall. Shhheeeesh. That looked scary. My goodness. Looks like he is averting anything serious. Much better landing than what it looked like. Man, let's leave healthy!

Frederi walked on a wild pitch scoring the fifth ACL Brewers run in the fourth inning.

Dubanewicz didn’t seem to mind the long sit down giving up just a two out single while also notching his third strikeout top of five.

I think there are a ton of options based on how deep our system is. It also depends on how national evaluators put guys in their top 30. Di Turi, Burke, Arienamo, Hardin, a couple of the rookie ball teenage pitchers (Dorchies, Renz, Dubanewitz, King, Mercedes), Manny Rodriguez, and any place that doesn't have Luis Pena as a top 100 prospect will be vastly underrating him as well (probably a dozen other good options). We do have over 50 prospects that deserve to be in the top 30.

With only 68 pitches to get thru five Dubanewicz is back for the sixth and goes fly out, walk, fly out before a mound visit.

Looks like that’s that at 5.2 IP | 4 H | 1 BB | 3 K as Griffin Tobias is on and secures the third out of the inning with a four pitch K.

Quintana stays hot with his second double & second RBI of the game (plus a single, walk & two stolen bags) to make it a 6-0 lead.

After Quintana advanced to third on an errant pick off throw Roderick Flores singled him home for a seventh run.

With a 9.49 ERA and 5.23 FIP, Griffin Tobias has had the roughest go of the teenage ACL pitchers in the early going but he goes 3U3D in the 7th to get some positive momentum going.
