The AA Shuckers’ home contest against Birmingham is already underway, with RHP Brett Wichrowski aiming for a 3rd straight solid start (11.2 IP, 2 R (1 ER), 7 H, 2 BB, 9 Ks in last 2 games) to even the series 1-1. 1B Mike Boeve has a 12-game on-base streak.

Murray keeps producing with a RBI double in the first inning scoring Lara. 1-0 Shuckers. Murray’s OPS continues to hover above .900- just an amazing year he’s having

Wichrowski with a solid outing today pitched into the 7th inning in a 2-2 game. Gave up the homer and another run scored on a sac fly.

High-A Wisconsin looks for a home win this afternoon over South Bend to even their series 1-1, with 21-year old RHP Ryan Birchard (4.33 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 10.4 K/9 in 60.1 IP) getting the start. Hits are finally falling in for 3B Juan Baez (7-for-last 20, 4 BB, 2 Ks).

Middendorf in to pitch the 8th and surrendered 4 runs. Ouch. Biloxi down 6-2 bottom of the 8th

Middendorf has not had a year to remember. It has been a rough go for most of the year both in Nashville and Biloxi. Hopefully he can figure things out and gets back on track as a reliable relief arm.

Even Ryan Birchard knows what he has to improve on - in his interview he noted that he has to throw strikes and limit walks. 5 walks, and 84 pitches (46 strikes, and 38 balls) is not going to do it for 4.1 IP.

The T-Rats offense had chances, with 9 hits, and 3 walks. But 1-8 with RISP, and only 1 run. They get another runner on with an Areinamo single (his 3rd of the day) but Burke tough at bat and grounds out to end it. 3-1 loss.

Ok the winning streak can start now right? Let's get a 4-game win streak against these Cubs cubbies. C'mon T-Rats!

Strange day. Timber Rattlers out-hit their opponents by a combined 20-11, but lost by a combined 9-5.

4 hits for Lara, 3 each for Areinamo and Alastre, 2 each for Murray and Restituyo. Bladimir also homered.

4 earned runs off Middendorf in the 8th inning doomed Biloxi, while 2 errors led to 2 unearned runs to hurt Wisconsin.

Middendorf has, sadly, pretty much pitched terribly all season for both Nashville and Biloxi. I hate to say this as an OG Middendorf Fanatic. BUT, it is clear as day: his stuff has absolutely fallen off a cliff in 2025. There were signs in late 2024 but this season is a different level of poor form.

The Sounds can take a 2-0 series lead at Durham with a victory behind RHP Coleman Crow (4 IP, 0 R, 7 Ks in 56 pitches in his first career AAA outing last week) tonight. 3B Oliver Dunn is 13-for-32 with 5 extra-base hits and 3 SBs in his last 8 games.

I agree. It appears that when he pitches in the strike zone he is getting hit hard. So he tries to get cute on the edges and starts walking guys. Tough year for him

Well it might be the end of Tyler black either by trade or performance .Not sure how he gets any time with adding berroa  Herron and daz to the outfield .

The Low-A Mudcats dropped a 1-run game yesterday, so look to RHP Melvin Hernandez (2.13 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 7.0 K/9 in 76 IP) to even the series at home against Fredericksburg tonight. CF Braylon Payne is 8-for-18 since returning to action on July 1.

Dalbec just absolutely destroyed a 3-2 95 mph high center zone offering well over the LF wall. Absolutely destroyed that pitch. My goodness. Sounds trail 3-1 after Crow saw three runs cross in a 32 pitch first frame.

Meanwhile, Mudcats trail 2-0 off two two-out RBI doubles in consecutive innings. Bottom of the second.

Dalbec is mashing. another RBI on a deep left CF rocket to the wall. 3-2 Sounds pull within one. 3-3 game. Oliva Follows suit ripping a double off that high Durham LF wall.

Meanwhile, RHP Melvin Hernandez works around a lead-off double in the fourth (his 3rd 2B allowed) K'ng two. Muddies still trail 2-0. Hernandez has K'd 5.

DiTuri has to be the best 30+ ranked prospect maybe ever.

We’d have been crowning him as the next big thing like 5-10 years ago.

An Angel Salome level crowning.

EDIT - Nevermind, Salome was 20 years ago. I am now old AND sad.

Looked up his stats and he absolutely destroyed AA. Remembered him as a low level flash in the pan.

Crow had a rough 32 pitch three run first. Sounds reclaimed the lead 4-3. He was cruising. Two outs in the 3rd. A cue shot squibber to the shallow RF grass put two aboard. Fell behind 3-0. Hung a belt high heater to a lefty. Sounds trail 6-4. 73 pitches. Two more K in this frame. He's having to work for it tonight. Still striking out many a bat.

Di Turi is absolutely a Top 30 guy. As you know my feelings on those lists: they just don't mean anything. He is easily one of the most improved players in the entire system. Emerging power. Vastly underrated very solid and consistent defense. He's very much a guy. Ignore the lists.
