If memory serves correct this our last stretch of ACL Brewers games of 2025?

Yeah - final 3 ACL games Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday this week.

Then hopefully promotions Monday/Tuesday next week.

It also means the Mudcats need to go like 5-1 this week to boost their margin for subsequent error (losses), in hopes of ultimately winning a playoff spot.

Oh gosh. I forgot the Mudcats slumped at the end of the Carolina league first half. Yikes, need to get on a roll, and haven't followed the 2nd half standing.  And who are they neck and neck with ? ..... FredNats 🙄

And they play the last week of the regular season probably for the 2nd half title on the line

Every player in the DSL Cerveceros Gold line up has a knock today except All Star DH Jonathan Rangel who just happens to have 3 BB. Every batter has an RBI but Rangel and Acosta. They lead the DSL Cubs Azules 14-3 in the 6th inning.

We should be getting statcast data for the ACL game tonight. I believe both times they have played at the Reds we have had it.

Any time we beat a Cubs team/affiliate is a good day. Let's get 14 more runs 😁

The DSL Brewers Blue managed to pull out the 5-4 'W' in a scheduled 7-inning game vs the DSL Dodgers Bautista. Outhit 7-to-4 - with two of Bautista knocks coming in the seventh and final frame via a two-out single followed by a two-out two-run Johnson - the Brewers managed to take just enough advantage of 8 BB, 2 WP, 2 HB, and 1 Error in their 4-for-15 with RISP. The Dodgers managed a 3-for-10 mark with RISP leaving 7 men on base. The DSL Brewers Blue improved to 19-14. They are 3.5 GB Northwest division leading DSL Tampa Bay. They are currently just outside that final 8-team Wild Card playoff group (best records after division winners) by 1/2 G behind the tied for 8th WC seeded DSL Arizona Red and DSL Mets Orange who are both sitting at 20-14 overall.

Nice feast or famine game for the DSL Gold offense, with 18 runs, 14 hits and 13 Ks.

C Roniel Paulino tacked on a late grand slam. DH Jonathan Rangel had 5 walks, since the Cubs are terrified of him. C Isais Chavez hit his 4th homer. 2B Cristian Montilla had 3 hits. RF Eryks Rivero had 3 RBIs.

Zona Crew up 6-2 after a six run fourth inning that went Luis Castillo double, Jorge Quintana single, Frederi Montero RBI single, Jadyn Fielder RBI single, Demetrio Nadal three run bomb, Roderick Flores solo shot.

Miqueas Mercedes had a couple 95/96 MPH four seamers early on but has been working mostly 91-94 MPH four seamers and sinkers with an 81-84 MPh slider.

He’s at 4 IP | 2 R | 4 H | 2 BB | 1 K with 64 pitches (39 strikes).

Some batted ball highlights include a 108 MPH Frederi single, 107 MPH Castillo single, 107 & 105 MPH Handelfry lineouts, and 104 MPH Kevin Garcia lineout.

Mercedes completes 5 IP. Did hit 95 mph in his last inning, but also gave up a double and a single for a run. So 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB and 2K, and it took 82 pitches.  A decent if not great outing.

But Handelfry singles home Ereu to restore it a 3 run lead. 7-4.

Colmenarez gives up another run in his inning of relief, with offspeed stuff and a sinker that goes 88-90mph.

Next inning, a walk by FIelder, and have yourself a night, Roderick Flores, who hits his second homer of the season (and 2nd of the night), and it is a 9-5 lead.  Every position player with a hit, there are 2 BBs drawn, and only 4 Ks so far for the offense.

Colmenarez gives those two runs up with a HR against. It is not 9-6 as this battle continues.

On to the 8th, but I will call it a night.

Nice to see the ACL bats getting hits and hits with runners in scoring position too (5-9 tonight).

Was it last week or the week before where they have like only a couples hits two games in a row.

Demetrio Nadal homered again and Jorge Quintana went deep too with Cesar Espinal working a 4U3D (1 BB | 1 K) ninth to put the finishing touches on an 11-7 win.

Miqueas Mercedes now, and despite being a similar age the velocity gap is noticeable vs Colmenarez. Impressive spin rates for his age with 2300 RPM's on the four seam fastball and averaging almost 94 mph on that offering, as well as solid vertical break given the low arm angle.

The slider is a tight offering, really killing the vertical break well while his release points all blend quite nicely together.

Killing the break on the changeup too, you can see why this arm has been pushed this season
