Houser dealing. Shota shelled. 6-0 White Sox!

Could see Houser going to the Cubs soon.

I think there’s an impression that the Marlins are more hapless than they actually are. They’re currently only 5 games under .500, and on an 11-7 streak including series wins over the Royals and Padres.

They’re not walkovers.

Unfortunately, the Cubs have a true walkover series against their crosstown rivals.

What is more crazy?

A championship caliber team proactively seeking Houser or Houser performing well enough that it might make sense?

Another weird one:  Eric Lauer has been a key pickup for the Blue Jays, who now have the best record in baseball.  Just last season, he had an ERA near 5 in the KBO and was non-tendered.

The choice will be both after adding a decent bat or two.

The way this is unfolding Frelick will probably be back before any trade is made, in which case it's one or the other.

A week from now yeah, both could be in N'Ville.

He's there, just not in the derby.

Indeed and I see why he wasn't swinging a bat lol.

That was honestly a great event though and I was very surprised they televised it. Most stuff like that is such a dud, and yes they didn't do much with their bats, but I was shocked by how many fans stayed there for it, how many guys they got to show up and the overall energy. It was just refreshing. The players all seemed to be so grateful and really enjoyed being there and seeing their old teammates. It was awesome.

Even when they make moves & rebuild Miami always seems to have young talent that keeps you from taking anything for granted when playing them. Kyle Stowers can do a lot of damage & Xavier Edwards seems to be a pain in the neck whenever we play them.

There will be wailing & gnashing of teeth on here if we fail to hit our old friend Janson Junk, who's actually been pitching pretty well.

Absolutely. I remember the Marlins from 2005ish, were supposed to be a terrible team, but they had nice rookie seasons from Dan Uggla, Hanley Ramirez and others and surprised everyone.
