Encarnacion draws a walk, then Anderson Ks swinging, DiTuri flies out to center and Holguin take a big breakig ball, and Ks looking. It's still 3-0 Mudcats. Must needs wins here for the Muddies

T-Rats bats are still struggling. The relief pitcher has now struck out 4 of 6 Timber Rattler batters and that's 14 K for the team right now.

In Biloxi, Pratt with a hit, and steals a base (nice), then scores on Wood's single, it's 4-2. Don't have it on but looks like Wood out a 2nd trying to advance on the hit.

In rehab night it's Rob Z making a relief appearance for Nashville to relief Gasser (4 strong innings) and joins Hoskins.

Gotta step away and will be back.

But T-Rats bat are completely quiet tonight and down 3-0

Mudcats in control, Sounds are up midway 6-0, and Shuckers trying to get back into the game after a 4 run deficit in the first, it's now 4-2

Childers spells Zastryzny after four batters faced and 23 pitches. He finished his outing with a K. Two down. Childers walks his first batter on four pitches. Gotta love that as a manager.

Back again - and lost track earlier as the Muddies were not in control, they won. Great pitching by that trio of Hernandez-Reyes-Nova.

Oh hey - yeah I completely missed that Jake Bauers is also rehabbing in Nashville 😬

So that top 5 in the order for the Sounds are MLB quality hitters (Bauers, Hoskins, Black, Quero and Dunn)

Guess how the game ends in Beloit - yup a swinging strikeout, that is 16 K to only 3 hits for the T-Rats.

OK boys, come back tomorrow and forget about this game tonight. Just great pitching against you.

Shuckers trying to climb back. Pratt with his 2nd hit drives in a run but Burke Ks swinging. 6-3 shuckers still trail trying to recover from that 4-0 1st inning deficit.  Doesn’t sound like comebacks are in the systems fortunes today.

I just get back in from Farm chores and it's like I never left the Shuckers broadcast. MacGregor allows two straight two out knocks. Men on 1st and 2nd. Two down. He gets the weak come backer to end the threat. He strands 2. SHuckers will come to the plate bottom of 8.

AND, in Nashville, the Sounds plated one here in the bottom of the 8th. They lead 7-3. Bauers just walked. Bases juiced. Two down for EMJ.

AND, I see Delgado hit for the cycle! My word. What a feat! AND, if the Sounds win they'll move Rick Sweet into sole possession of 3rd most Wins in Minor League history as a skipper. What a night in Nashville!

Matt Wood with a hard hit ball down the first base line and not handled cleanly by the 1B but it’s an error, otherwise Wood would be 3-3 with a walk. Wood has been a pleasant development this season with decent offense in AA and he had been good behind the dish as far as I can tell - he’s not noticeable which for catchers and offensive lineman is a good things.

There it is! Rick Sweet is in sole possession of 3rd place in Minor League victories. A life dedicated to baseball. What a feat.Screen Shot 2025-08-19 at 7.15.29 PM.png

The Shuckers got two aboard in the bottom of the 8th. Warren and EBJ proceeded to pop up at a combined 80 mph. On to the 9th.

Welp. Shuckers give up a HR. And it’s 7-3. Don’t feel like the organization has any come from behind wins in them tonight. There’s been so many from top to bottom in the past month.

Sounds and Muddies with solid wins.

That early pitchers duel between Smith and Milbrandt was really something. Milbrandt dominated a stacked top of the lineup and Smith was absolutely dealing. Barely any pitches going into the 5th

Yup. Shame for Smith who really had a solid outing. Even struck out the side in the third frame tho those were his only K's. He's really put together a solid season after struggling to dial it in early at Carolina. We have to be pleased with the results. He also has the type of build and frame where we can feasibly and realistically see another notch or two of velo and even more movement in his off-speed which already has nice break. There's plenty to like here. Milbrandt, man, that was really impressive. The T-Rats bats were absolutely overmatched.
