Started off last season with elbow soreness and ended up undergoing his second TJ in late May/early June 2025.  The lefty was holding out hope to get into some games before the end of the season as of my last update a couple of weeks ago.  Unfortunately, that didn’t end up being possible and so he will look towards a normal offseason.  Arizona Fall League could be a possibility.

All I do is relay info but I appreciate it!  In my opinion, Phillips has to be the most intriguing story to follow given his history and talent when healthy.  There’s still a slim chance we could see him by season’s end, but it’s going to come down to the wire.

But you have the knowledge, and know the players, and help fill in the gaps for those of us who are so fanatic that we have to know the ins and outs of every 16-25 year old in the org.  So, I guess, you are part therapist in that sense lol (at least to me 😬)

Episcope, Phillips, and Josh Timmerman all continue to progress from their respective elbow procedures, but each has dealt with some nagging things that have delayed their timelines.  Timmerman is the closest to a return and will begin throwing live to hitters next Friday.  He hopes to be sent out to an affiliate sometime in August.  Episcope is about 2 or 3 weeks from facing hitters while Phillips is still about a month out.  While these timelines, like Ramirez, are pushing the end of the season, there is a greater chance that we see them in the regular season since both are likely ready for Single-A (at least).  For most pitchers returning from major injuries, teams would probably just be happy getting them prepared for a normal offseason which might be the case for Episcope.  However, the organization knows how much Cole Phillips has been through and how eager he is to finally get on the mound in a game and so there is added incentive to get him back and have him throw a couple of times before season’s end as it would mean a great deal to him; a small victory given what he’s been through.

As many are already aware, it has been a tough road thus far for RHP Cole Phillips.  There is now a light at the end of the tunnel for the right-hander as he is basically pain free for the first time in four years.  He was up to 93 mph in his most recent bullpen as he continues to build up and facing hitters should not be far off.

Looks like credit was due . I see you. If anyone watched Spencer and me this past off-season, you may recall I was absolutely geeked about this pick up and I didn't even think he'd get on the mound in any capacity in 2026!  This absolutely rules!

Williams has been dealing with a sprained wrist and was expected to return sometime mid-August as of a couple weeks ago.

Underwent Tommy John surgery in July.  Optimistic target for a return could be late 2027, but there’s a chance we don’t see him on a big league mound until ‘28.

I saw the 7-Day IL and was a wee palpitated!
