BLAKE BURKE NAMED SOUTHERN LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE MONTHBrewers No. 13 prospect earns honor after 12 home runs, 32 RBI in dominant July

BILOXI, MS – Minor League Baseball announced today that Biloxi Shuckers first baseman Blake Burke has been named the Southern League Player of the Month for July. Burke is the first Shucker to earn Southern League Player of the Month honors this season and the first since he was named the Player of the Month for August, 2025.

Burke finished the month among the Southern League leaders in RBI (1st, 32), OPS (1st, 1.382), extra-base hits (1st, 21), home runs (T-1st, 12), average (4th, .351) and on-base percentage (5th, .447). Burke also broke the Shuckers single-season and career home run marks, becoming the first Southern League player since 2015 to record 30 home runs in a season. He also joined teammate Andrew Fischer as the 17th Brewers Minor League player with a 30-home run season, and the fourth to achieve the feat since 1990.

BLAKE BURKE NAMED BREWERS MINOR LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE MONTH - Burke earns honors after breaking Shuckers single-season, career home run marks in July

BILOXI, MS – The Milwaukee Brewers announced today that Blake Burke has been named the Brewers Minor League Player of the Month for July. The award is Burke’s second of July, after he was named the Southern League Player of the Month on Wednesday.

Burke finished the month among the Southern League leaders in RBI (1st, 32), OPS (1st, 1.382), extra-base hits (1st, 21), home runs (T-1st, 12), average (4th, .351) and on-base percentage (5th, .447). Selected by the Brewers in Competitive Balance Round A (34th overall) of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Tennessee, Burke set the Shuckers single-season (29) and career (40) home run records with a pair of longballs on July 29 vs. Montgomery. Burke also became the first Southern League player since 2015 to record 30 home runs in a season and enters today three RBI away from breaking the Shuckers single-season record (89). He also joined teammate Andrew Fischer as the 17th Brewers Minor League player with a 30-home run season, and the fourth to achieve the feat since 1990.
