20-year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez makes his 2nd start of the week at Columbus (4.2 IP, 1 R, 6 Ks on Tuesday), with AA Biloxi needing a win to salvage a 3-3 series tie. 1B Blake Burke has 7 homers and has reached base in all 14 games played. RF Damon Keith (8-for-18, 6 RBIs) returns from a recent injury.

23-year old RHP Yorman Galindez (4 IP, 1 R, 5 Ks in 2 games) makes his 2nd start as High-A Wisconsin seeks to finish off a 4-1 home series win over Peoria. LF Josh Adamczewski is hitting .333 with 5 homers in 9 games played.

AAA Nashville look to complete a 6-game home sweep of Worcester, with RHP Peter Strzelecki serving as an opener for LHP Shane Drohan (5.1 IP, 2 R (1 ER), 8 Ks last outing). DH Tyler Black returns after a 2-week injury absence.

The Low-A Warbirds need a Sunday home win to even their series against Hill City 3-3. RHP Tyler Renz aims for his 2nd Win of the week (5 IP, 0 R, 5 Ks on Tuesday). 3B Luis Lameda has a 5-game hitting streak.

Wilson was no-hit thru 4 innings and trails 2-0, but Yannic Walther has led off the bottom of the 5th with a double to put them in business.

Dylan O’Rae manufactured a run and Jesus Made drove in 2 more for a 3-0 Biloxi lead, but Columbus responded with 4 runs on 3 homers. Biloxi trails 4-3 after 3 frames.

Brady Ebel knocked in Walther with a hit to right field, but Jose Anderson struck out with the bases loaded to end the inning.

Wilson trails 2-1 with Anfernny Reyes handling the middle innings.

Stiven Cruz just pitched a fabulous 3 shutout innings (9th, 10th and 11th).

Hopefully Biloxi’s bats can do some real damage in the 12th.

After recording 11 straight outs, Cruz finally allowed a single and 2-run homer to lose on a walk-off.

Biloxi goes down 10-8 to Columbus.

If, and big if, I can get a couple of uninterrupted hours this evening I may go back to watch some Wisconsin and Biloxi..

I know it would be a small sample but I'd love to see a comparison of Made's first few weeks in AA with Chourio's.  I know Chourio struggled a bit early on.

Just looking at the rudimentary 'box score' type numbers, he had a AA cup of coffee at the end of his '22 season & struggled as you said. In '23, he was 11 for his first 55 ABs at Biloxi & then went 12-32 to close out April. 

So, 23-87. He K'd about 25% of those ABs & drove in 18 runs.

Some hacks in early counts and advanced two-strike approach hence the low K rate. (12.7 Whiff% after two-strikes)
