I tuned in just in time to see the pop out on the second pitch. Did the Pirates really lose a challenge on the first pitch of the game or is the scorebug glitched?

The Pirates have 3 guys in their lineup hitting under .200 - who could have known. Have been led to believe we were the only ones...

And two of them just produced a home run and a single.

The Pirates made some moves to improve their offense while the Brewers traded away their best SP and did nothing to fill their holes.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Mitchell whiffs once again on a high fastball! He's going to have to make an adjustment very soon. Woodruff throwing nothing but fastballs and the Brewers are down 1-0.

*yawn*

If we didn't lose 3 of our top 5 hitters to injury we would likely be 4 to 5 games over .500 right now outpacing last year's win total.

Outpacing last year’s win total at this stage of the season is pretty meaningless unless you expect them to have another 3 month stretch winning 3/4 of their games.

What moves did the Brewers make in the off-season to make this year’s roster as good as or better than last year’s.

I assume that the “yawn” comes from watching this feeble lineup.

Well, they wouldn't have to. They would need to win more than 60% for the entirety of the season. So NOT winning 3/4 of their games throughout the summer but winning a larger portion of the other games would accomplish the same goal.

I think we are watching a perfect game tonight.

I mean, it's not impossible but some folks were saying the same thing against Skubal.  So we'll see I guess.

I don’t know.   Our relief pitching sucks.   That’s actually been our key to sustained success.    I’m more worried about that.

Woodruff is throwing too many fastballs down Main Street.

I think this is his last inning tonight.

Just in case others didn't see this ... Paul Skenes is perfect through 4 innings.

I have noticed that if they moved the fences for the Brewers to the edge of the outfield grass they’d still be getting shut out.

I was at the game two years ago when Skenes pitched 7 no hit innings before being removed. This looks a lot like that.

Agreed. The margin for error in the closer position is mighty small.
