Same is true of Nick Neugebauer, although there's a non-zero chance that they only thought that because they really wanted a guy with a video-game name like Nick Neugebauer to rampage through MLB for 10 years.

And who could blame them.

The duo of Neugebauer and Lou Palsmo were going to solve all of our woahs...

Erick Almonte rings a vague, vague bell. I feel like he was one of our top prospects at a time when our prospects were very very bad and he was traded for some kind of rental.

I think you may be thinking of Erik Komatsu, who was traded for Jerry Hairston, Jr.  Erick Almonte was a guy who won the last roster spot on one of Ken Macha’s teams (over Luis Cruz, if I remember correctly), and I think he got hit by a ball in batting practice, and I don’t think he ever came back after that.

I can’t remember the names of people I meet , but I can remember this stuff.

Brewers doing everything they can to help McCann out and the defense is letting him down.

Contreras is definitely out. Any hustle whatsoever and he’s safe. Of course, it’s 13-1, not 2-1.

I really want to see McCann face Greg Jones this inning. Something’s gotta give.

SAL! You robbed us of this experience.

Had to look up one that came to mind.  Brad Nelson in 2009 came up, went 0-21 with 9Ks and was DFA'd.  Only managed to accumulate -0.4 WAR though.  Jones managing to out-bad him by the bad defense I imagine.

No idea how long Woody will be out for, but it is hard not be excited about our starting rotation regardless:

Miz

Harrison

Patrick

Henderson (assuming he'll be called up for Woodruff)

Sproat/Gasser

Also, Fitzpatrick and Drohan look to be good additions to the bullpen.

Neugebauer got hurt though. Pfaadt has just been bad.

Fitzpatrick looks like a potentially really good addition to our ailing pen.

I know it might not mean much to some but the pitching models have really liked him as well.

Peralta getting grilled by Mets media today. He missing Milwaukee one writer town right now.

Yeah feel bad for the guy a bit. He's basically been pitching right in line with where he's always been and for some reason it's not good enough.

Haven't gotten to see today's yet.  I liked what I saw yesterday.  The last pitch of his outing yesterday was reallly nice.
