The Warbirds have the earliest game today, hosting Hill City and needing a win to even the series. This game marks the return of RHP Jayden Dubanewicz (2.30 ERA in 58.2 IP in Carolina League last year) and LF Tyler Rodriguez (.654 OPS in 343 PAs last year) to the Low-A level after dealing with injuries and ramp-up to start the year.

High-A Wisconsin also has an early start and needs a home win to tie their series, in their case against South Bend. RHP Yorman Galindez (6.75 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 11.7 K/9 in 14.2 IP) makes his 4th start (7th appearance). 3B Andrew Fischer has 9 hits (6 for extra bases) in his last 4 games.

Is it finally clicking for Bitonti? Hell of a week.

44% K-rate since the start of last week so don't think so. Maybe he's getting off his A swing more comfortably?

Yeah, I was just about to point out he's at least found real highs to his real lows (ergo last night's 3 K night at the dish). I personally still believe in the player but the K rate continues to very much be his kryptonite. He's sitting at a ripe ol' 35.7 K% on the season if we include today's output. I think, more than anything, he's starting to find some comfort?

In the past week or so we got the Yerlin Rodriguez random 3 up 3 K inning. We also just got this:

El Juan's first HR since way back on May 26th of 2024. I still randomly chuckle about the AFL two week long ball hot streak that had many of us here thinking he'd suddenly found something. Good times!

RHP Braylon Owens with another fantastic outing. He picks up the five inning Save with his 5.0 IP of 2 H, 2 BB, 1 ER, 6 K work. He has been one of those under the radar very good arms for a Wisconsin pitching staff that has mostly struggled to find their form.

RHP Manuel Rodriguez (5.40 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 7.6 K/9 in 28.1 IP) and the AA Shuckers aim to double their series lead at Montgomery. Biloxi lead the Southern League in runs/game (5.73) and RF Damon Keith (1.066 OPS in 97 PAs) has a 17-game on-base streak.

AAA Nashville is also seeking a 2-0 series lead, in their case at home against Iowa. LHP Thomas Pannone (2.31 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, 5.4 K/9 in 11.2 IP) makes his 5th appearance (4th start) of 2026 after missing all of 2025 due to injury. 2B Eddys Leonard (1.040 OPS in 140 PAs) has doubled in 5 consecutive games.

Attending tonight's Sounds game. Can't wait. Top 6 in the lineup looks exciting to me.

Adamalphabet is just relentless. I am looking forward to a few promotions in the coming weeks.

Another HR surrendered by Manuel. Thankfully only one long ball and his team is cruising BUT that's now 9 HR allowed in 33 1/3 IP. That's a HR every 3.70 IP! No bueno.
