High-A Wisconsin host Dodgers’ affiliate Great Lakes this week, with solid RHP Braylon Owens (3.97 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 11.9 K/9 in 45.1 IP) battling LA’s #12 prospect LHP Zach Root (40th overall draft pick in 2025) tonight. 3B Andrew Fischer has a 10-game hitting streak and has homered in 4 of his last 6 games.

Low-A Wilson play at Guardians’ affiliate Hill City this week, with 19-year old LHP Enderson Mercado (9 IP, 3 R (1 ER), 9 Ks in last 2 games) getting the opening start. RF Jose Anderson has homered in 3 consecutive games, with 9 RBIs in those contests.

21-year old CF Luis Lara (.947 OPS with 18 SBs in 247 PAs) returns to the Sounds’ lineup after being absent for a week, as the team kick off their home series against Rays’ affiliate Durham. RHP Tyson Hardin (1.61 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 8.1 K/9 in 22.1 IP) makes his 5th AAA start.

The AA Shuckers play at White Sox affiliate Birmingham this week, with the team hunting for a first-half playoff spot. RHP Manuel Rodriguez is coming off his best start of 2026 (6.2 IP, 1 R, 5 Ks last week). C Matt Wood’s on-base streak is 19 games.

Travis Smith to AA.  That was NOT on my bingo card of roster moves this week.  Wow, he definitely struggled in Wisconsin, and maybe it is just  Midwest League thing this year, as no pitcher (outside of Owens) pitched well.

Speaking of which, did I miss if Braylon Owens was bumped up to AA?

Badoo walks the bases loaded but Wilken takes a hanging splitter down the middle for the backwards K. Nashville leads 3-0 going into the 4th

Hardin gets old friend Ollie Dunn looking on a pitch on the outside edge. Morgan swings and misses on a high fastball in the zone at 95 and Williams lines one hard but right at Wilken to end the inning. 6 Ks and only 1 hit for Hardin through 4.

Leonard with grounds softly to third and Jett lines a hanger to left field for a single. He then tags and advances to second on a really aggressive play after Pratt flies out to center. 

Lara walks for the second time today on a wild pitch that allows Jett to advance to third. Had a scary moment as he fouled a ball into his right foot but was able to walk it off. Not to worry, though, as he stole a base on the first pitch of the next at bat.

Adams get hit (again!) in the left arm and Mr. Rick Sweet has left the dugout to talk with the umps Durham goes to the bullpen. Bases loaded, 2 outs, bottom 4.

Braylon Owens settled in after giving up a run shot in the first va the loons/dodgers. Still in a ball

Tyler Black swings and misses on a full count cutter and the inning is over. Already 13 left on base for the sounds. Better hope Hardin keeps dealing or they will regret it

Hardin gets a K and then gives up a double on a liner to left. The runner extended a ball that should've been a single but Black's throw to Leonard was way off-line. If only that kid could be an average defender anywhere.

No matter. Hardin gets his 8th and 9th K swinging on fastballst!

Hardin finishes the 5th with his 8th & 9th Ks. No walks. The times I've seen him he always seems to be one step ahead of the hitter with his multi-pitch mix. Impressive.

Quero pop up to right field, Badoo fly out to deeeeep center but Wilken doubles hard to left on a cutter right down the middle. Yet another RISP with 2 outs for the sounds. Can Leonard drive him in?

Yes! Lines one HARD (110 MPH!) to left on a triple and he drives in Wilken.

Uh-oh but some shenanigans. The outfielder rose his hands claiming the ball was out of play but the umpire did not stop play, which allowed Leonard to reach 3rd. Durham's manager was out but to no avail. Leonard remains at third and Jett is up. He draws a walk (catcher challenged the call but didn't get it).

A gift! Pick off throw went to the outfield so Leonard scored and Jett advanced all the way to 3rd.

And now Pratt with a bomb!!! His 6th!

Lara pops out but the Sounds with a big inning and now they lead 7-0
