Hey, thanks for nothing, Joey. Couldn’t even get him over to 3rd.

Not exactly shocking. If there was anybody in our lineup that needs to choke up and just make contact it's him. Way too big a swing for him.

Pratt gets to 2nd and Ortiz gets ahead 2-0 and Pratt isn't at 3rd after the at bat.

And that’s the crap that happens when they strand runners

This offense isn't going to do a damn thing in October again.  Maybe this will be the year the front office finally realizes it and does something about it.

We’ve seen this movie over and over.  Amazing regular seasons that end in disappointment

Their LF making the play and our LF not making the play is why it's 2-1 Braves not Brewers. Braves have played the cleaner game.

Now if only Ortiz could have just advanced the runner from the 2nd to 3rd, it would be a 2-2 tie game. But of course, he couldn’t.

I'm not holding my breath.

This team is still two bats short of being serious contender. When you have black holes like Ortiz they always pop up. Compare Dubon ab to Ortiz.

We are proud of our regular seasons and so long as we keep winning the division we aren’t going to do anything to rock the boat.

It'll be another underwhelming deadline of watching us largely stand pat while our rivals plug holes.

Smart move. You'd be turning purple before we got to the middle of July.

Or in the Dodgers case just stash extra talent.

Put guys on the IL.  Let them rest through the regular season then have them ready for the stretch run.

As long as the team is just good enough to put asses in the seats....
