Almost as ridiculous for the Cubs:

Where's Josiah Hartshorn? Our ridiculous package is much better. Chalk it up as just another thing better for the Brewers compared to the Cubs

A full thread of these could be gold in a few years to look back on

Given, most of these prospects will probably fair better in our system than others, I don’t think this would look quite like you are thinking. (Assuming you are inferring we are going to see all the great players experts wanted us to trade for Skubal etc.)

Statistically, most prospects fail and while top prospects might have higher floors, their failure to get anywhere near their potential is just as great. I mean look at Chourio, he has shown flashes, but he has yet to break out to be the star he is supposed to be and he very well may never. (Yes I do know he is just 22)

Most of the guys we are pearl clutching are likely going to be a fraction of their potential. Lucky if one actually reaches their potential. We all pearl clutched a player in the Yelich trade, I don’t know if any of them had a positive career WAR.  The most regretful guys we have traded over the years have been mostly lower minor league players.

Of course, we don’t know if Made is going to flop, Lara is going to flop, if Fischer is going to be Barry Bonds, or if Harrison is going to end up an injury riddled mess. It will be interesting regardless to look at this time in retrospect years from now. Hopefully whatever decision we make ends up in a World Series trophy. Be that 2026 or 2030.

I wanted to throw this out strictly for discussion, not thinking it would ever actually happen. This is not a serious proposal!

BUT, if you were the Brewers, would you offer up this trade proposal to Pittsburgh in the offseason:

Brewers get Paul Skenes:

Pirates get Logan Henderson and their pick of 3 of our prospects. The only condition is that they can’t have both Made and Pratt.

No way in heck!! Henderson has been doing a great job and zero chance they trade Made in the division.

The thought of going into a playoff series with a top 3 of Miz, Skenes and Harrison for the next 3 seasons would I think allow me to risk it. I assume the deal would look something like Henderson, Made, Pena and maybe Fischer. It’s a ton to give up for sure but man that rotation would look nice.

Yet they were willing to trade our #11 and #13 the Cardinals...

I agree, not a chance they trade Made in the division, but I would have bet against that Cardinal trade too.

2026 Skenes has looked nothing like 2025 Skenes.

I won't be surprised in the least if he isn't going to ask to be traded in 2027 or during the off season.

HUGE difference between #11 and #13 and number one overall

I assume it has happened before but I cannot remember an arbitration eligible player requesting or requiring a trade.
