Via our Transaction Thread:

-- C Darrien Miller transferred to Biloxi from Triple-A Nashville

-- RHP Jack Seppings transferred to Biloxi from Triple-A Nashville

Certainly, neither Miller nor Seppings did anything to warrant being demoted.

Wonder if Andrick Nava is about to be activated from Nashville's Development List, or if Jeferson Quero is finally ready to get behind the plate.

Really like to hear this about Burke

He truly is One-of-One in the better person than player (and he's a fantastic baseball player) department. You see that, as well, in how the Vols fan base and fans in general speak about him. Heck, he had Timber Rattlers fans attend his debut game at Nashville. He's a gem.

Man, Dinges back on the 7-Day IL. He has caught a mere 19 games in 2026. 19. He has caught a mere 68 games since being drafted back in 2024. 68 games. Sighs.

The AAA Sounds and Indianapolis have battled to three 1-run games in Nashville and now have RHP Coleman Crow (23.2 IP, 4 R, 23 Ks in last 4 games) ready to lead them to a 2-2 series draw. Rehabbing RF Sal Frelick (3-for-11, double, 3 walks) plays in the field for the first time after DHing in 4 games.

A healthy 2B Dylan O’Rae (.782 OPS in 359 PAs) makes his first start since July 28, with AA Biloxi needing to break their 8-game losing streak. They host Pensacola and send out now-21 year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez (4.93 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 7.9 K/9 in 104 IP) to start.

RHP Hayden Robinson has been terrific over his last 2 outings (9 IP, 2 R, 7 Ks) and can lead Low-A Wilson to a series-clinching home win over Columbia. SS Brady Ebel has a 32-game on-base streak.

High-A Wisconsin have dropped 3 games in a row at Cedar Rapids and now counter with RHP Ethan Dorchies (5.40 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, 7.8 K/9 in 91.2 IP). Sawyer Strosnider is 4-for-14 in 3 games and gets his first start in center field.

I get contact is a concern but the strikeout rate has actually gotten remarkably better in low A. Still small sample but I do not see how he is only 30th in the org according to pipeline. My hot take since the ACL is that I liked him more than Frias.

Nashville wins 9-1.  Nice pitching line by Coleman Crow who went 6.2 IP on 94 pitches, which is good to see him pitch deep. Naylor and Black with multi-hit games (Both of Naylor's were HRs, in case you were confused like I was of the double posts of Naylor HR video above).

Wilson in extras. Biloxi was up 4-1 in the 1st on Wood's GS, but pitching again failing and they are now down 8-4

Wilson walks it off - literally. Bases loaded on 2 walks, then Kyle Jones (Edit: wrong draft pick) gounds to second baseman and out at home, then Ortuno walks in the winning run.  Hayden Robinson and Thomas Conrad with good outings.

Ortuno, Encarnacion and Mills with multi-hit games.  Mills seems to be more of a contributor on offense it seems recently, I will have to look at his trend and splits.

Bless that Biloxi pitching staff. They are the strength of the organization. Come to think of it, now that Owens is on the IL is there a pitcher on that Shuckers staff with an ERA below 4.00? Off the top of my noggin I do not believe there is?

Wisconsin (Edit: wrong A ball club 🙄)with a shut out win. Nice start by Dorchies, 6.2 IP, 9K and 1 BB on 90 pitches. Welch and Meneses pitch 2.1 scoreless innings as well.  And your offense was sponsored by Dickinson and Strosnider. Rough nights for Pena (0-5, 4K, which is so uncharacteristic) and Bitonti (0-5 with 3K, as he has cooled off from a hot streak recently).

My friend, you are crossing Timber Rattler streams.

Well that 4-1 lead was fun.  But it was a 9-4 loss, it was really just Broca with a poor outing. But Manuel Rodriguez who is still so young, is finding it hard to dominate AA hitters.  And Anthony Flores gives up a ER in his one inning without giving up a walk or a hit, I'll have to see how that happened.
