Because May doesn’t suck, he’s mediocre, and there are other factors that go into a likely win/loss than starting pitcher matchup alone such as defense, offense, and bullpen, which judging by W/L records the Brewers have the advantage over the Mariners in most categories to get to a betting line, which is designed to get as close to equal action as possible on both sides.

Contreras can gladly be moved in the offseason. Bat has been a massive disappointment but even larger than that his pitching calling and pitch challenges have been amongst the worst in the league.

I just hope that all the quality prospects we’re developing softens the blow of losing Ragsdale and Frias. At least Strosnider and Payne are making a solid case for themselves so far.

The Brewers can certainly do it, but will pitchers be successful on short rest? It depends on the pitcher. I think Miz probably needs his full rest days.
