.870 xBA

xBA isn't relevant for fielding because it doesn't factor in where the ball was hit or defensive positioning. All it factors in is EV and LA.

So quite literally, 13% of centerfielders make that play,  I mean, as best as Statcast can estimate.

No xBA has nothing to do with catch probability.

I totally forgot he is still around, and I’m not sure why he is.

Probably to have depth in case Turang has issues with his knee again

He will be gone once Frelick comes back

I mistyped, it was .770 xBA.

Yes, doesn't include positioning but 99 mph at 22 deg launch angle, home run in 2/30 parks.

Lara is getting some serious jump on these balls IMO.

I’d love to see a link to any news on this topic

Good luck with that. Like any media outlet is going to report anything negative against their golden calf.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

He will be sent down once Frelick comes back. They probably wanted to make sure Turang was healthy before they got rid of him

And Pratt, who only rejoined Wednesday.

I’m not sure either, but he’ll just be DFAed then.

No problem with that challenge there.

Don’t love it. There’s nobody on, it’s not quite the late innings and it doesn’t put you on base if you win. It’s not a key situation,

That said, I like it more if it’s only your first challenge and not your second.

I hate that Miz couldn’t go 7 innings today. A 2-0 lead is not enough margin.

Chourio made a great effort but dropped the catch when he rolled over. Darn!

This won't be overturned.

What do I know?

I really don’t even know what BA was talking about “not sure there’s not enough to overturn.” Pretty clearly has the tag on with Dubon not touching 2nd.

I was thinking it 😂but nice recovery by Chourio to at least get the throw back in, in time.
