It will be interesting to see how the Brewers pitch him, since they've done by far the best job in the majors against him this season in terms of his OPS against...most of that damage was from walk.  Been quite awhile since these teams faced each other.

He’s seriously toned down the chase since he made a change to his batting stance. Since June 1st he only has a 31% chase rate which is still pretty high but nowhere near high enough to just throw him junk outside of the zone and him consistently get out.

This sounds like you are engaging in what you and some others on the board have objected to as “cherry picking”.

Or are you conceding that players, and by extension their teams, can change over the course of a season?

My point is, why give in until he lives on base with 3 walks a game - especially when the rest of their lineup isnt raking nearly as much as PCA is?

 

When pitchers attack him on the fringes of the zone, he still gets himself out plenty.  Credit where it's due, because PCA isnt missing middle middle pitches during this extended power streak - that doesnt mean he has to see those pitches every ay bat, though.
