Great Bauers AB, followed by a terrible base running error. Mitchell's a fast lefty who strikes out a ton, so the advantage of avoiding the double play is about as low as it could possibly be. Plus, hitter-friendly ballpark.

Just a bad, bad situation.

Y’all are hilarious. Thanks for the laughs

He’s right about that. They have 2 starting pitchers right now that they can trust with the ball in a playoff game,

Since the break Mitchell is .229 BA with .636 OPS

Mitchell gives you all of the strikeouts that you expect from the big boppers with none of the actual power that you get from them.

Remember back in May when we thought Matt Arnold had pulled off the biggest heist that the city of Boston had ever seen? 😂

They are basically going to have to win every game.    Which can be done.    But people are fooling themselves if they thing the brewers are winning any playoff series if the starters are going to going 4.1 with 4 earned runs in the majority of games.    And we sure as hell ain’t getting the bye of the last 19 games are like this.

I enjoy winning games 10-7 but it isn’t sustainable

Might as well cancel the season because the rotation has struggled two weeks out of the year

Now it’s apparent why Boston kept him in the minors all year after they acquired him and were quick to move on from him less than a calendar year later.

They have to shut him down for a couple of weeks and hope he comes around. He may just be spent at this point. Not sure what his previous high water mark is for innings and pitches.

If Harrison’s struggles dated back 2 weeks we wouldn’t really have a problem,

I never thought that because I know what the Gardner Heist is. #history

Harrison is cooked.

They need to DL him and bring up Sproat or someone else for a bit.

we often forget that the guys on the other teams do know how to do their job sometimes, too.

Little bit of an important game today. Reds have been better lately, but the Brewers got some favorable pitching matchups. Rain delay yesterday hurt them. No excuses, but certainly bad luck.

They'll miss Imanaga (who I know they've hit, but he's a good pitcher) and Holmes during the Cubs series, and get to counter with Mis and Henderson, so it'd be a disappointment not to win the series, despite only really needing one.

Hard to know what to make of this series given that the Reds have been better lately, and the Brewers  are coming to the back end of a tough stretch of travel and consecutive games without an off day. Obviously just feels a lot better to go 4-3 than 3-4 during a really big week.

Long way to go.

Hamilton with trash defense again.

Glad to see you posting again after being oddly silent during the Cubs series!

Weird how you have to work extra during the first week of school and come home tired and just want to go to bed!
