I gotta hunch Cappy is cooked. Doubling his career HRs allowed to lefties in his last 2 starts probably isn't a coincidence. I believe he's 4th in the majors in pitches thrown this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we pinch-hit for him in the 4th.

...just got back from the Brady Street Doggie Parade. Yes, there was a parade for animals and we took my mother's Weimeraner. I came in the house, 1-0 Crew and then all of a sudden it's 3-1 Pirates. Maybe I should go back outside?

If we lose today, it'll hurt for quite a while: I'm extatic with .500 but that one extra victory would be stellar.

Please explain to me why in the heck Capuano is batting in the top of the fifth when we are down 3-1 and two men out. Cappy has over 70 pitches. Cappy has been struggling a bit here. Wouldn't a PH be the better option here???

I agree with Jamie. It's not so much that finishing with 81 wins would be bad (for this team), but handing over a series to the scurvy sea dogs is cringe inducing.
