As bad as Magruder has been from the left side, he's been better than Branyan pinch hitting. When healthy, Branyan is a good starter, but he goes from 3TO to 1TO when pinch hitting.

I'll take my chances with Branyan putting a run on the board, over Magruder batting LH (or at all for that matter) ever.

 

But yeah, Branyan is hurting, he's not going to PH in a game where we are up by 2. So I'm sure this is also why Helms didn't PH. You know, if the game goes 13 innings you may need Helms.

 

I'm just sick of Magruder, hitting, ever, period. I realize his ABs don't matter in the scheme of things, but I'd rather have a guy there that can hit the ball over the wall and play some D if he's just going to get an AB here and there.

33,000+ in the house tonight. I didn't know the c'mon back club was so popular.

 

Just got back from the game. I guess the club is quite popular as most of the loge and a good portion of the upper deck were full. The only real empty spots were in the club level and down the lines on the 100 level.

 

Highlight of the night was the buzz in the crowd when Prince popped out of the dugout for his PH appearance.

 

Just nice to win an ugly game in front of a nice crowd.

I hope he is only slightly hurt. Do you have some news that says he is so badly off that he cannot even pinch hit? But that so badness will be gone in 3 or 4 days?
