yost should have let davis work out of it... he deserved the opportunity, no matter how many pitches he had thrown. davis has been our second best pitcher the last 2 years, and i think he has earned the right to work out of jams like this.

I think next time you just leave doug in for the rest of the game just so that he can do it himself.

It was the right move this time.. but for Doug's sake, let him finish it off next time... Greattttt.. Oh and i know Kane throws hard, but, well... i guess we had no other option.. Where have you gone Matt Wise?

What the heck was that?

I disagree. Davis walked Ausmus - that's a telltale sign to get him out. He put the runners on, Kane Davis failed. Life goes on.

And had Yost left Davis in, and a tired, 100-plus pitch Davis allowed the go-ahead runs, Nedly would have been crucified here for leaving Davis in too long.

Seriously, it's like trying to swim uphill in a mudslide.

Someone get Darron Sutton a hankie. God is she a baby!!! Get OVER it....its still 3-1! The game isnt over and NO ONE CARES about Doug Davis getting his 10 stinkin win. God. This is the whiniest announcing I can remember.

Darn, darn, darn. I wonder if Davis is giving himself a free ticket for the offseason. He just could, could not fail is this situation. Well, at least not fail by having no control. Darn.

This game was so big. IS so big. We would make ground on three of the 5 teams in front of us. If we lose, it could be the end of our season. Darn. I am sad.

Ned made the right move with taking DD out.

Vizcaino hits .279 vs LHP, .198 vs. RHP

Plus he was tired.

It was the right move, just didn't pan out.

anyone have stats on what vizcaino hits from the left-side and the right-side? i was pretty sure he was always a better hitter from the left, but i'm really not sure.

Just because it didn't work doesn't mean it's the wrong move. Davis was tiring and was pretty much done. Just because K Davis stunk it up doesn't mean Yost made the wrong call.

But he sure stunk it up. He threw that ball at Bigio as he ran by.

Let Doug seal his fate not frickin' Kane! GDI Yost! Happy Birthday Ned!!!!!!!
