ugh...Mike Jones =Neugy

Exactly what I thought. Any hope I was holding out that Jones might pitch again just went out the window.

If you aren't listening to the game, Powell reported that Jones is still feeling pain in his shoulder. He came to Milwaukee for an MRI and they saw "incomplete healing" in his rotator cuff. He is having exploratory surgery tomorrow.

Nuke at least had gotten to Milwaukee before the trouble started.

of course, we found out that was because he was hiding the injury from the training staff.

Do what I do, completely write off Mike Jones, then any positive news is a surprise.

Seriously though, best of luck to Jones on the surgery... hopefully we'll see him in S/T next year.

Alright, Jenkins!

About Gameday audio - Anyone else use this MLB.com feature? I am kinda ticked off about it today. It's not playing in Firefox, and it's got commercials -- two things that were not the case as of yesterday.

that's really too bad for Mike. It's the reason I was very concerned. I feel alright when I hear elbow injury, but when I hear shoulder it makes me cringe.

maybe I missed something, but doesnt someone say Jenks will homer today, everyday?

Yep, you missed something. I haven't predicted Jenks to launch until this morning. I have the studliest track record of predictions imaginable. I am starting to scare myself.

I have gameday audio and it seems like sometimes there is commercials and other times there isn't...I really don't mind the commercials because I would rather listen to something than just have a 3 minute pause inbetween innings everytime.

gameday audio has had commercials for me all season so far

For WTMJ? Really? I don't think it's because I have to use IE today, but I'm wondering if that's why I get commercials now. That just doesn't make sense to me. ::shrug::

Scoop,

If you keep patting yourself on the back you'll end up like Mike Jones.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006
