9/5/2004: Brewers (de la Rosa) vs. Reds (Hudson)

Fresh off of yet another offensive explosion, the Brewers look to drop the S-Bomb on the Reds, and push their winning streak to 4. Young Jorge takes the hill in his second ML start, and looks to join fellow 23 year old rookie Ben Hendrickson as first time winners this weekend. In his previous start, August 14 vs. the Marlins at Miller Park, DLR allowed 4 ER on 6 hits over five innings of work, including 2 BB and 2 WP. The Brewers lost the game 11-1. The Reds counter with 27 year old right hander Luke Hudson, who has never faced the Crew and has appeared in only 7 big league games (4 starts). Over 21.1 IP in 4 GS this season, Hudson has posted a 1-1 record, 3.80 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, .272 BAA, and has surrendered 22 hits (2HR) and 9 BB while K'ing 13. Should be a good game for Jorge to get win #1 - GO CREW!!!

I was hoping to attend this one but got involved in an ill-fated moving project. Bummer.

Dave's in center, Hard Nose is behind the plate, and Clark is in right.

Would be nice to drop that S-Bomb today, eh? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I'm surrpised to see Krynzel playing versus a LHP. That isn't setting him up for success, and especially since Magruder hits so much better RH, it isn't setting the team up either.

UPDATE: I musta saw the "LHP" by DLR's name.

If you are going to get a guy a off-day, Craig needs one. Po in RF today would have been ok.

On the up-side, more Russell, more of the time.

Well, Jorge's gonna have to wait for his first shut-out, but his first K sometime soon would be cool.

EDIT: 3-0 Reds into the bottom of the 1st

EDIT 2: 4-0 Reds, HR by Freel
