What's really, really discouraging to me, is that there was never really a doubt in my mind that they just weren't going to get it done. Even after the leadoff single.

Failure to execute again. Counsel got the bunt down but Weeks at least has to get the man to 3rd so Weathers has to worry about the ball in the dirt. This was part of my point on the HR/Run scored business.

Here are two sets of numbers that I will let someone smarter than me figure out. We are 19-26 in day games this year (which makes us 44-35 in night games) and we have lost 8 of our last 10 Sunday games (going back to the Royals series).

Maybe it's because small ball isn't a very good way to try and score runs? I mean, you only get 3 outs an inning. Giving a third of them away to move a runner 90 ft just isn't worth it.
