The real cheap years are the first three. After that the Brewers have three years of arby which means a large raise. For example Dontrelle Willis went from $378,500 in 05 to $4.35 million in 06, his first year of arbitration eligibility. That only goes up from there. Even a bad year or two can only reduce the previous salary by no more than 20%. Guys like Prince and Howard are goin got make a boatload of money in the last couple years of arbitration. Unless they get a long term deal which will not be cheap.

They will still be far below market value. Cabrera is making $7.4 million which is close to $10 million below market.
