Even with a day off, we have two big games to watch today and could actually be in first by the end of the day. Go Dodgers and Go Pirates!

 

This has me a little nervous:

 

"Russell Martin was out of the lineup Wednesday night. While teammates waited out a rainstorm before the game, Martin was at a hospital having an MRI on his left knee, which turned out to be sprained.

 

...

 

"Mike Lieberthal took over behind the plate, scored both Dodgers runs and went 1-for-3. The 35-year-old backup hasn't caught back-to-back games all year, let alone a day game after a night game. The other option the club has is Chad Moeller, called up from Triple-A Las Vegas."

I'm sitting at work listening to the Cubs/Dodgers game with the Cubs/Dodgers gameday up on my computer, and I feel a little weird. I've never been this interested in another team's game this late in the season in my entire life.

a catcher is standing on first... a double is hit... the catcher scores??

 

estrada would be standing on second base out of breath waiting for the guy who hit the double.
