$15 million over 3 years for him? Glad to see that the Astros are still handing out ridiculous contracts.

Astro's are really starting to hurt themselves...

Note to Mr. Melvin: Go get Luke Scott AND Chris Burke.

I seriously can't believe that the Astros continue to get more stupid.

It's so fun hearing all these numbers for these contracts that guys are getting.

It's almost like alot of GM's think they're running a franchise in a video game, except it wouldn't be this easy to throw out $19 mil for Scott Linebrink or $15 mil for Kaz.

Yes please. Especially to Luke Scott, offer one of our extra starting pitchers.

Watch the Cubs now, they were in this one 'til the end. They want a lefty middle infielder, who might that be now?

[yogallardo43]

Counsell? Gritty Veteran. Sorry I couldn't find the blue ink.

If the Cubs getting Matsui was supposed to be a stepping stone to their getting Fukudome, yeay for the Astros, I guess.

YES! Or, as trwi7 mentioned, even just Scott. Claudio Vargas + TGJ for the duo? Not enough? Perhaps Cappy instead of Vargas?

I actually let out an audible, albeit quiet, "Yes!" when I saw this thread title.

don't forget that Matsui is a shortstop by trade, this might mean Everett is the one on the move, not Burke. That seems unlikely given how in love they are with defense down there (see the continued employment of Ausmus as exhibit A), but you never know.
