Xavier Nady?

Id love him as a bench player. He is probably good enough to start on this team as it stands now, but I think he would be an ideal player as a 4th OF on a World Series team.

I'd totally look at him as a starter.

- His splits vs. righties aren't too bad, so there's no platoon concern there.

- He can play all 3 OF positions, so there's flexibility should the Brewers acquire a bigger corner OF bat for a playoff run

- His OPS away from spacious PNC was .833 last year

- He's relatively cheap

- With rumors circling that the Bucs were close to non-tendering him, I don't think the asking price could be too high (maybe Bush, Vargas, or something along those lines)

Doug, you have my blessing http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Nady can also play first base. he played 35 games at first in 2006. This would prove ideal in interleague games allowing prince to be a dh. I like Nady.

as a 4th outfielder, I'd say yes, as a starter, I say no...

I know next to nothing about him other than regards to fantasy.

Hart, Hall/Braun and Nady?

I wouldn't be totally against it, but I think we can do a lot better...

I agree with that last line. Nady is a fine fallback option, should nothing else pan out - especially if the Bucs value him so lowly.
