btw, pogo, I've got another one for you. I found "God Bless Satan" by Mephiskapheles for $2.95 at a record store the other day. I bought it because I thought the title (and cover) was funny but now I can't believe I somehow missed this record when it came out. I was never that into ska, which is probably why. You may or may not have it already, but "The Bumble Bee Tuna Song" is a real standout. It's a fun album, despite the title.

i don't have that album, but bumblebeetuna was on "Ska the third wave, volume two" from skanachie records which was far and away my favorite ska mix for a very long time...it had the mephiskapheles song, an awesome cut by less than jake, introduced me to the planet smashers (whom i still like) and a bunch of other funny cuts...

 

that's a good rec. though, i forgot those guys existed...

 

got the wheat cd yesterday...it's pretty good...reminds me of an artist named "Bleu" from a few years back...thanks..

Glad you like it. I found it a couple of years ago, and in looking at their other CDs found that the band didn't like this one because it was over-produced. I felt like all the rest of their albums were under-produced, but this one is a nice, crisp, pop album.
