Check out their fan forum at DodgerBlues.com, going off on us. *sigh* Oh well, vulgarity and potty humor is obviously more important than content.

fanzonecentral.com/phpBB2....php?t=836 We've currently advanced to the 3rd round of the fan site tournament, squaring off against DodgerBlues.com. Register and vote today, if you haven't already. Don't let some potty-humor Dodgers site win against what all of us have built here. I'd be happy losing to Sons of Sam Horn or the Newberg Report out of sheer respect, but I wouldn't be able to live with myself after this. EDIT: Also, try to keep the posts on the voting thread dignified. We don't need to stoop down to their level. Thanks for your support!

Jim, thanks for making the Link Report one of the key items of the site, and for all your hard work and dedication again this summer. You know how much work you put into this site, and I hope you know that it doesn't go unappreciated. If I were in the position to dole out salaries, you'd get one hell of a raise each year. Hopefully the Link Report creates new minor league fans each year here at Brewerfan.net. I know Jim Powell's down on the farm reports turned me into the minor league nut that I am today. Thanks Jim. Brewerfan would not nearly be the success it is today without the link reports.... and speaking from experience, I know it probably saves me half hour per day from how I used to have to go about getting my minor league news.

Krynzel in RF while Podsednik's in CF bothers me quite a bit. If Krynzel and Pods are going to be in the same OF in 2004, Dave should be allowed to play his natural position, and the one he excels at. While Scotty's improved marginally on his CF defense, Ned shouldn't worry about hurting his feelings, and just play him in RF to see how versatile he is.

Did Schroeder just call him "Ben Van Scrotum"???

As reported in today's link report thread, 2004 2nd round pick Yovani Gallardo has been transferred to Beloit to start tonight's game.

So much for the great Rule 5 experiment of 2003.... It's too bad really, because at the time, a had a whole lot of faith in it.

Dave Nilsson's like the Rolling Stones. He doesn't get any better, and just refuses to go away.

This lineup is lacking in grit.

If Kylie Minogue is young at 36, who's old? Betty White?

Al.... come on dude, give it a rest.

I was excited to see Helms out of the lineup at 3B... then I glanced upwards in the lineup to see the funniest prank ever... Helms replacing Overbay in the cleanup spot. I guess Yost has deferred lineup card making to The Onion now.

ARGHH.... Geno, are you saying there's not a difference between a) making fun of a freak injury and b) being glad it happened
  21. squarepusher
Personally, I don't care either way about the "wet ramp" cracks... I was just noting that there's a difference between praising "wet ramp" and acknowledging "wet ramp" was funny.
  22. squarepusher
[ Or more likely, there's NO difference. ] On one hand, you have Ueck joking about a freak injury. On the other hand, you have people praising the wet ramp for taking Wes Helms out of the lineup. There is a difference.

Well, traditionally, Gary heats up after the all-star break. (by that, I mean he's had a .700 OPS after the break from 2001-2003)
