  1. Time for the bullpen to blow the game up so I can turn it off. I don't even care to watch the no hitter and watch this team of slap hitters flail away.
  2. Also, Haines may be telling the hitters exactly what they're doing wrong, what to look for, or what else they need to do to succeed. Hitting is hard, it's harder when you just have a bunch of not-so-great hitters in your lineup.
  3. Several 8-1, 9-2, etc type games, mainly against the Reds. I remember driving from Madison when Dave Bush was pitching and before we got to our seats it was like 3-0 in the first and we seriously contemplated just going back to our car.
  4. That would infer he typically has fielding skills...he does not. We've probably watched him the same amount of times. I would say his biggest issue are his throws, but yeah it's not like he's got a great glove but can't throw.
  5. You had to say it, huh? My bad. Won’t make that mistake again. It was just so quiet in here. Just mimicking the Brewers' offense.
  6. I would be shocked if we have baseball before the traditional All-Star break time frame.
  7. I don't remember that at all but faking a tag is against the rules and grounds for an ejection. He was pretending a throw was coming into 1B and the runner got down in a pseudo-slide. He didn't actually reach as if he were going to tag the runner, so I misspoke a bit. Just going from memory..
  8. The worst part of Jimmy's injury was not only was it during a play where he managed to get a hit, or needed to even bat, it was the awkward slide going back to first base. Was there going to be a play at the base? Remember several years ago when Chris Capuano faked a tag against the Cubs and their 1B coach said something to him at the end of the inning about how that type of fake can cause an injury or something like that. Anyone else remember this? It was the first thing I thought about when I saw Jimmy injured on that play. Just sucks, for so many reasons. It was 1B wasn't it? Now I'm second guessing myself with JN's injury.
  9. Underrated comment. This site needs a 'like' feature.
  10. Morbidly?! Good grief, man. I mean, I know BMI isn't the be-all end-all of body shapes, but at 5'11", which Colon was listed at, 250 pounds is the upper limit for "obese" and Colon was listed at 285. He probably weighed closer to three hundo his last few years. Calling him morbidly obese isn't really out of line. Half that weight was probably in his lower half. I'm not going to argue the guy wasn't fat; but to me, morbidly obese means you have a hard time doing everyday tasks like bathing and using the bathroom.

  12. Lutz and Ray for Matt Chapman? Throw in Arcia? (Blue)
  13. Without opening the thread, I knew who the Brewers were giving away in this proposal.
