  1. Of what? Trying to have to first winning season since '92? The players better be rested for that!
  2. My 3 stages of grief, rather than 5: Anger http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u146/yfinn6/anger2.jpg Depression http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u146/yfinn6/depression.jpg Acceptance http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u146/yfinn6/acceptance.jpg
  3. I might just boycott the Brewers for a day or two. Can't wait to go to work tomorrow and be reminded by a Cub fan that the lead is 2 games. Every time the Brewers lose and the Cubs win I'm reminded, which is a lot lately. Okay, now about the game. What in the world happened to that great 8th inning? Sheesh. Someone remind me again why I'm a Brewers fan...
  4. Man is this game frustrating. JC, I thought for sure we were going to win in the 8th. What an annoying finish to this game.
  5. Yeah, what the heck, I still have a hard time believing that Overbay could only have played first base. He seems far more athletic than at least Lee and Ramirez, yet they play out in left. Overbay wasn't the fasted of players when he was on the Brewers but he was at least as fast as Carlos if not faster.
  6. Thanks for playing Balfour, because that certainly wasn't pitching or thinking when playing defense. Jeesus.
  7. Agreed. I get tired of hearing the boos and what not. Sure, we can all dislike the guy. But do we need to conform to every other major league city that boos the piss out Bonds? Does it do any good? Probably not, the guy is used to it. The fans boo Bonds but then snap their stinkin' digital cameras during his swing. I think a bigger statement would be to not show up at the park at all, a crowd of a couple thousand to watch Barry swat number 755, '56, etc would be a better protest. But that won't happen, because people love talking about how they saw Barry - "that jerk" - hit the record breaker. I can't wait for this stupid record chase to be over, and for the steroid talk to slow down so that I can actually pay attention to baseball again and not be inundated with this steroid coverage that I really don't care about.
  8. Thanks brewers255. The Brewers also lost today. Sorry, wasn't sure if you were trying to be sarcastic with that quote, but I had to say something smart back to your post.
  9. It's funny that people boo him, though they buy the tickets and take their pictures of him. Some people just need to make up their minds. If you hate the guy and want to boo him then stop taking pictures of him during every swing. That sort of thing just annoys me, maybe this should go in the vent thread.
  10. No I know that. I guess my sarcasm bit was directed at posters or fans who base their favorite pitcher's value on win totals. Glad to see Sheets at 10, but his worth to this team I think is more important than his W-L record.
  11. I wish I could grow a beard. Do "chin-straps" count? I could grow a mean "Playoff Mustache". If only I had hair growing on my cheeks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  12. Amazing how that works, isn't it? Ben Sheets has finally realized how to win games, he's a true ace.
  13. Don't worry, I said enough for you. And I had to ride in the car with a Cub fan, how badly do you think I wanted to sock him when the game ended? Thank God I didn't because he's my closest friend, but man. At least he kept his cocky remarks to himself, he saw how pissed I was.
  14. That's awesome. Always cheered for the guy. Being a "small guy" myself I always root for the smaller dudes to do well. Glad to see someone like Biggio who I've never heard from in the offseason (which is a good thing - contracts, arrests, etc) do well.
  15. I'll be going today with a group of 20! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif Many of them for the very first visit to MP. Section 110 rows 16 and 17. I hope it isn't a B lineup, but I have the suspicion that Weeks will get the day off.
  16. Nice swing, Rickie. That was a nice and easy, and the ball jumped off his bat. Man I hope it's a while before he has to take it easy with his wrist again, if he can keep it up in the 8 spot that is HUGE.
  17. How awesome is Yo? "That's a pitcher hitting?" my friend said.
  18. So no Bill Schroeder today? Shucks.
  19. Woogie, I like the pictures of the starting pitchers you use. For the Brewers they always look happy or obviously like Bush when they're delivering the pitch. The opposing pitcher always looks like he gave up a bomb. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  20. I got wasted last night, definitely missed work today. My roommate filled me in on what happened last night, because I couldn't remember. She's a good friend. Come to think of it, I'm still not sober. I think Burger King is calling my name.
  21. Wow, has Hall found his stroke! Say it's so Billy! Just got home from boating on Monona and saw he had two hits with the third a HR! Yes!
  22. Why not throw in Counsell and Graffy as well? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  23. Ann Carroll, wipe that frickin' smile off your face. I'm happy for the guy, but I'm far from beaming.
  24. There it is folks. This is going to be a tough one to swollow. Congratulations to Verlander. Helluva game.
