Post of the year! The rest of us are going for second place from here on out. As far as this whole crazy thing, I'm trying to avoid it but it's like a moth to the flame for me - at least on this site. Regarding drivers that fail to yield the right of way to emergency vehicles. How about sending a couple of cop cars along with the firetrucks to pull over and ticket the offenders (rather than sitting on their duffs in speed traps). After a while, the message will get through one way or another.

My rule of thumb for "me" or "I" in those situations is to take the other person out. For example, "That's it for Davey and I" would become "That's it for I," which doesn't sound right. So my little brain can figure out that it should be "That's it for Davey and me." There's a whole grammar explanation for it, but I've long since purged the space in my mind to use it for something else, like annoying song lyrics.

Firefox 22.0. The wonderful developers at Mozilla decided that my web pages should be zoomed in to a point that an 80 year old can see without bifocals. This adds a scroll bar at the bottom and forced me to add on NoSquint. As I use Firefox for most my browsing (numerous reasons I won't get in to now), I hope they fix it or I'll end up wasting a lot of time switching over to a different one.

A very good article by Joe Posnanski http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/52116701/ns/sports-baseball/ In effect, his view, while not original, is that PED's are the burr under Bud's legacy saddle and he'll go to great lengths on this Biogenesis thing even though the evidence is very sketchy at best. -

Right off the top of my head - missing a sound card driver? It's probably something different, but this would be the first place I look.

No apology necessary, Blancofan. That was one miserable night. Once things settle down, I would file a complaint with both the gas company and the state PSC. You have, at least, three separate complaints - the long wait for the emergency, the driver's complete lack of professionalism, and the overcharge on the bill. The long wait for an emergency is a frightening prospect that especially needs to be brought to the forefront, with a few other notable gas leaks fresh in the mind (Oconomowoc immediately comes to mind).
