  1. Can't condone it (wink, wink), but it's virtually justifiable. Whoever handed down the sentence must not be a Comcast fan either. New quote material: "What a bunch of sub-moronic imbeciles." Love it!
  2. Let's all run home, put plastic sheeting over the windows and doors, and don't come out ever again.http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/eyes.gif I think JoeHova nailed with the territorial stuff. Greed can be a powerful weapon.
  3. I'd strongly advise against signing with two (or more - gasp) sports. Seasons overlap, plus two sports have overlapping playoffs, which could get ugly. Multiple tryouts, on the other hand, are encouraged as you could find you like another sport better because the team you try out for is very good.
  4. Listening to Madden say "May-zhur for a first down." I'd rather rip my heart out right of my ribcage with my bare hands and then throw in on the floor and stomp on it 'til I die. . .than hear badly mispronounced words.
  5. Agreed, Twins. Don't believe any hype from the GM, either. Trust me, I signed with the Pirateshttp://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/ohwell.gif
  6. I have an 04 Elantra with around 60k miles (bought new). The only mechanical problem I've had with it was the throttle, which was fixed under warranty. The only thing I don't like is the trunk overhang, which I have a tendency to bang my head on when reaching deep into the trunk. The paint job seems a little thin as it scratches easily. Still, it's a lotta bang for the buck and I would get one again.
  7. Arrrggh, ye mateys. If ye be lookin' fer pyrates, here they be! http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff144/DatHoser/PatchythePirate.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff144/DatHoser/sbpirate.jpg
  8. FTJ - we must have the same agent. I'm a one-tool minor league talent with a huge major league contract. One good season is all you need. Man, the Japanese league woulda been interesting, if not fun. I bet winter ball in Mexico would have been fun, too. Oh well. . . Robin19 - hats off to taking this with a sense of humor and starting the best thread I've seen in a while.
  9. Snakes, although ironically Raiders is my favorite movie. Also bees, wasps, hornets to a slightly lesser extent. Everything bacon said in the post a few above this one. I actually like heights. For one year in college I was the ONLY one who would go on the cherry-picker to get helium balloons down from dances or parties. If I was out of town for the weekend, they would stay up till I got back.
  10. BTW, I believe that it's being repeated tonight at 9 cst. My wife is dvr-ing it for the spectacle. I saw a picture of her, and if that's out of shape (especially after 2 kids!) I'm in serious trouble. Hollywood is so out of touch with reality.
  11. DVR - woohoo!! Brewers live, Packers time-delayed.
  12. Curse you, Brian!!http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/tongue.gif I'm now going between that and Lydia, the Tattooed Lady (as sung by Kermit).
  13. Gotta be the Tribe. They even played home games here!
  14. I stopped wearing my Bill Hall shirt on the first game of each series which worked for the first two times I did this. I then couldn't find it as it was lost in the laundry and wore it on the second game of a series in which they were swept. Later my 8-yr-old took it an wore it before I got home (consequently spilling on it whatever an 8-yr-old spills on shirts). I now have said shirt hidden and will wear it tomorrow night. I also stopped drinking Scotch, but I think that has affected my outlook on the team - liquid optimism.http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/pimp.gif
  15. The first skid was rock-bottom. Then they got out of the hole long enough to dynamite that rock. Now they are tunneling below that rock-bottom.http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/sick.gif
  16. Never tried Haiku. Could this be new rally hat Or bad Hoser luck?http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/sick.gif EDIT: One too many syllables.
  17. Ken Rosenthal interviews Geoff Jenkins on Foxsports.com. Beaming Brewer
  18. Tough situation. Hopefully it'll all work out. Maybe go to Disneyland with one family and Disneyworld with the other (FL & CA). Or if neither family wants to go to CA, go to Universal and Sea World.
  19. Two words: highest bidder. If I went the E-Bay route, I'd also throw in a syringe. To me, it's almost better that this ball not make to the HOF. Since Barry said he's only in it for Barry, I'm only in it for me.
  20. Note, Brian said clearly insane. The rest are harder to tell.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Back on target: it doesn't seem too unusual. As mentioned above, if she constantly refuses to go out, then it's over.
  21. He's now becoming the spokesman for Cousin's Subs full-time.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. City of Walker - 1984 (I think). The only reason I remember Walker is that we did the "W" thing with our hands - like Spock's thing.
  23. Sorry Hawing, as a usual lurker I was just having a little fun with that. To be honest, I was away for a couple of weeks due to family issues and when I came back I saw all the hub-bub over how or what to post. Back on target: the forecast around here is about 30% chance of rain. It's been overcast all day so far, so it's my guess that it'll be hit-or-miss as far as rain during the fireworks.
