  1. I appreciate those words FVBrewerFan. Thanks. And for anyone thinking I someone else with a history here, you couldn't be more wrong. I posted about this issue yesterday and if anything is similar to a former poster it is only by coincidence. I'm just the type that doesn't take any unnecessary bull$hit. I would never come at anyone. I'm very kind, considerate, and engaging. But like I said, if someone comes at me, expect the hammer and I'm not talking about Henry Aaron. As far as FVBrewerfan and I go, as far as I'm concerned, it is over and done. Hopefully he and I can engage in compelling conversations about the Brewers and everybody's favorite bullpen, the Frosty Boys from now until the Brewers win the World Series. To the guy who posted just before me, your slot car stuff sounds great! I am a slot car nut. I race all 3 primary scales: HO, 1/32 and 1/24. I've got a huge HO track that is 4 lanes, and three other 1/32:1/24 tracks. I've got about 70 cars total of all three scales. However, HO is still my favorite! Love spending time racing with my kids! Know that using special characters to circumvent the cuss filter is not allowed at BF. 2. Tweet from Brewers with the full roster: Pitchers (11) Burnes Chacín Gonzalez Guerra Hader Jeffress Knebel Miley Peralta Soria Woodruff Catchers Kratz Piña Infielders Aguilar Arcia Moustakas Pérez Schoop Shaw Outfielders Braun Broxton Cain Granderson Santana Yelich
  3. Yeah, I love the concept of pitchers as out getters. We don't have starters that only start, we dont have a Closer™ who can only pitch with a 3-run or less lead in the 9th. We have pitchers. To go get outs. Thank you to the baseball gods on high for finally giving us a manager that isn't beholden to The Book!!
  4. Soooo don't be a jerk about it then. There is absolutely nothing horrible about being pumped up about the team. Welcome to the board, SlotcarAssassin!
  5. Just comparing those three players from '17 & '18 2017 Santana/Broxton/Braun: 429 Ks 2018 Yelich/Cain/Braun: 314 Ks
  6. Nope it's .671 since he was called up, excluding his 4-4 in game 163. And excluding that same game, his Sept. slash line was .288/.324/.409/.733 -- right in line with a reasonable expectation for him at this stage of his career. His PAs in #163 were significantly better than anything we've seen from him all season, so it wasn't just a fluky 4 hits. In fact he probably had as good a night at the plate as any Brewer in that game, in terms of approach. Here's hoping he & Coles have figured something out at the plate & he can stay hot. LOL jerichoholicninja's post from from Aug. 9. Nice to see Arcia has improved since then, though. Ugh... I guess I should read the thread more often (or at least more closely). I'll leave my post up since 1) it's been quoted & 2) desereved public shaming for me Sorry jerichoholic!

  8. Oh man, the old photo days at County Stadium. Those were awesome times!!
  9. Counsell repeatedly mentioned this week that the team succeeded this season because they "decided to be a family". I would imagine the sacfricing of self for the team is a big part of what he means by that. Great team this season, and one that clearly reflects its manager & also the good leadership habits of the key veterans.
  10. I feel it's dead even. Up until this week, my answer was Sabathia.
  11. If there's one player that will want to treat tomorrow like it's game 7 it's yadi. If there's one player on that clubhouse you don't want to piss off, it's yadi. At least that's the straw I'm grasping at. If the Packers were eliminated from playoff contention in week 17 & played the Bears, who were playing for qualifying/seeding, would the Packers run out a crap lineup? I think the Cards will be plenty motivated for tomorrow.
  12. I'd imagine the ball would be considered live & in play. It would seem like the same as if a fair ball had hit the wall & not gone out in any other scenario.
  13. It was awesome seeing Bob get the champagne (of beers) shower last night in the clubhouse!
  14. I like the Brewers' tweet tonight -
  15. Did I hear my name? http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/mlb/players/full/6218.png&w=350&h=254 You know I hit .406 in the Mexican Autumn League this year. And .367 in the Mexican Spring League. This handsome man can still rake. I hope you get banned.
  16. Right there with ya. This is why we watch, why we care, why we micro-criticize managerial decisions... I love it
  17. Whoa I didn't notice until that last replay headed to commercial that a fan barehand/one-handed the Braun HR. Sweet grab!
