This is one guy that I would actually trade Weeks or Hall (plus a little bit more) for. One of the best pitchers in the A.L.

What does this team see in Mench that I don't? He is a defensive liability, and he didn't hit a lick for the team in 2 months last year (yeah, I know, small sample). Texas gave up on him as well. I think the best cast scenario is that he comes close to matching Jenkins' carreer averages with the bat, and is his usual butcher in left field. I'd say there is an 90% chance Jenkins would out perform him offensively, and he is light years ahead defensively. This guy is basically a right handed Kevin Reimer. Trade Mench. If there are no takers, DFA him. He is not worth what they will have to pay him next year, it's as simple as that. Don't keep him just to justify the trade. -
