I'm astounded that Allen fell short again, especially considering that 6 others made it in! If you ask me, he was the best candidate of the bunch outside of O Neil. I used to put Jim Kaat's cards in my bicycle spokes.
Probably the best career by a catcher in Milwakee baseball history. Yes he was paired with Rory Markus from 92 through 94. Looked this up and forgot that Pashke worked with Rock his first few years.
I was hoping this was last year's thread bumped up, maybe with an update that he'd signed with the Seibu Lions today or something. What exactly does the braintrust see in this guy?

I can understand the disdain for Wes while he was here, but how can you hate on a guy who had one of the biggest hits in Brewer history? (even though he played for another team at the time)
Agreed on the Yanks. Hard pass for me on any deal with Andujar as the centerpiece. Dodgers would have to be willing to move Urias as part of the deal for me to listen.
Lol the Yankees are getting Gerrit Cole if they trade Happ or not. Right. That's why they are not going to include any prospects worth acquiring either. Let them eat their bad deal and pay the tax.
Zero interest in Archer. Pitt would overvalue him in a big way in an attempt to recoup some of the fleecing they took when they traded for him a few years ago. Guy is almost five years removed from his last good season. He's locked into a fairly affordable contract, but is it really "team friendly" if he continues to pitch like he has been?
Grandal, Moose and Lyles combined probably wouldn't add up to much more total $ than Wheeler will command. Considering that Wheeler's arm is held together by dental floss at this point, I'd choose that option.
Probably a higher chance that Grandal will be back. I'm sure some big market team will give Pomeranz a three year deal for 8 or 10 million a year. Can't see the Brewers everything the fray on that.
Assuming the Lindor rumors are true, why would the Brewers trade arguably their second most valuable asset for two years of a guy that the Dodgers want to replace?
I know that the baseball seems to be juiced at the AAA level this year also, so does Friatas' hitting translate more to prime Piazza or maybe a downside w/ less power a la prime Lucroy? Can't wait to see this guy play!
