    I was vehemently against the Brewers going after Furcal, and I just have a sneaking suspicion that if someone like the D'Backs had gotten him he would've broken his leg by now. God I hate the Cardinals

The guy is nuttier than squirrel poo.Did you not see how pwned you were by their statistical wizard who clearly demonstrated that any explanation other than cheating was impossible or at the very least outside of a single standard deviation. At least that was giving him benefit of the doubt on the thorough study and stack of evidence he used to show how silly you or the MGD guy was to deny it was anything but cheating. I think my junior high debates had better reasoning than that thread offers. I didn't get into to any of the statistical debate......my eyes were bleeding by then. I just really loved the guy that stated "The Brewers cheat". Period. No explanation, no nothing. Gotta love it.

    I don't know if he'll get to the Brewers in the waiver line. Also, if he pitches 30 more games (possible), his $4M option for next year vests. Which is no good. There are only 53 games left. I think they could find a way to not throw him in 24 of these games.That's why I said "possible". My main concern is that if he's the only lefty out there it could happen.

    He's not all that great against lefties in his career. .780 OPS against. Low risk though.

    So putting any of our other options at 2B makes that big of difference? Who do you want? Counsell or Lopez? And seeing there are mostly regulars in there I am baffled at the JV comment. Guess you are one of the JSonline guys mentioned in the other post. I'm sure he's just a casual. Good thing you're here to explain things to him. The answer to your question is "Lopez" by the way.

    Well, they were right about one thing: the reason I went to their board is because it has been the best Cardinals' board (in my experience). That thread is pretty painful though. The guy who states as a fact that the Brewers are cheating must be posting from the loony bin.

    I agree, but I don't think either one is a concern at all. The Reds are a mess (that sweep this weekend just makes me think the Giants aren't very good either) and the Pirates simply aren't good enough on offense. Personally, I think the Brewers win the division by 6+ games, but the only team that scares me at all is St. Louis.
