  1. My God would that have been disastrous.
  2. Yeah that is a huge price. Risky for sure but man those are some good looking prospects. Mateo seems like the most interesting one to me. 80 speed with some raw power.
  3. Pipeline #s 4, 8 & 12 from an outstanding system. Pretty steep price.
  4. Thank God. Details soon I'm sure. Fowler, Mateo and Kaprielian headed to Oakland.
  5. Kinsler makes a lot of sense. Assuming the price is right, which I would think it would be. I think he's a Brewer today. I also think David Hernandez would make some sense if he's cheap. Rental though.
  6. That was the Cubs being extremely confident that they'd eventually score a bunch of runs against the soft-tosser. Don't disagree, but that was a pretty dumb attitude. He made them look foolish last night.
  7. They may have rule 5 problems as well. They cleared 1 spot here and can clear 1 more by trading Reed.
  8. Could not believe he didn't throw home there. Completely mind boggling.
  9. 82? Maybe it was 80, maybe 90. We'll find out after the game I suppose. At least Swarzak managed to not blow the entire lead. That would be the one thing that would change my mind. I can't imagine why his pitch limit would be that low though.
  10. Haha. If you say so. 82 pitches and a bad bullpen. Essentially you are saying in order to win our starters have to throw a CG just about every game. That does not seem like a recipe for success to me. If the bullpen can't throw 2 innings without giving up a 2 run lead than we don't deserve to win or make the playoffs. That's not even close to what I said. In this particular instance there was no reason to take him out. None. Edit: Also, it's possible there's something that I don't know, I just.cant imagine what that would be.
  11. I like CC and rarely criticize him. That one I absolutely can't agree with regardless of the outcome. It sure as heck isn't a "no-brainer ".
  12. Haha. If you say so. 82 pitches and a bad bullpen.
  13. Who has been shaky at best Makes no sense at all.
  14. Hate hitting for Suter here. Just a terrible decision in my opinion. Let him finish it. Has CC seen our bullpen lately?
  15. The team's pitching is horrible. Thank God our GM is smart enough to understand this.
  16. He's not making a trade based on Saturday's starter. Good God.
  17. There are also no guarantees that Blazek will pitch poorly. There is also no way to know that the Brewers assume they will lose tomorrow and as such are punting a spot in the rotation, that is all conjecture on your part. Also it would have to be a starter ready to pitch Saturday which eliminates ~80% of the options.
  18. Lmao! Then please stop putting our good players or top prospects as your avatar! BAAAAAD JOO JOO!! We need to use this power for good. Edit: in the unfortunate event that Lew is traded, Peralta it is.
  19. I actually think Kinsler has some value. He's only owed $4-5MM this year and 5 or 12 next. He hasn't been good this year but he had a 6 WAR season last year. I think his value is positive, but not by a whole lot.
  20. This is what I' m thinking, as well. Also, I'm assuming the team is Detroit, since they are the one with advanced talks with DS. If I'm Detroit, I look hard at Villar. Villar would be better/cheaper fit for them than Kinsler. They probably want an advanced arm, as well. So.... my official guess: Detroit gets... Phillips Villar Advanced arm (Ortiz, Burnes, or F Peralta) Lower level high upside guy ( Gatewood or Harrison) Brewers get.... Verlander Kinsler, Cash That is way too much in my opinion. I'd off them Villar and Harrison for Verlander, Kinsler & Wilson. We take on all the money. Problem with all these scenarios is that Verlander will want his last year guaranteed to waive his no-trade, at which point I'm out on him.
  21. Well, if they do trade Brinson you guys can let me know who you want gone next. That would make it 6 avatars in a row traded within a year of becoming my avatar.
  22. I really don't care personally if he makes a trade in the next week. As long as it's not as a panic move to try to stay in the race. Which I'm completely confident he'd never do. If the value is there, by all means. But this team simply isn't good enough with or without Sonny Gray to really be a factor in anything. It'd be cool to make the playoffs, but I don't think they'd do anything once they got there. Stick to the plan. I'm pretty sure he will.
