  1. Whoever you're using for your current retirement savings will be able to roll your old one into your new one. That way your money never actually leaves the IRA and you don't pay that withdrawal penalty on it. Your current company's website should have a link that says something like "Roll over an existing plan" or otherwise you can call them with your old company and account number in hand and they'll do it for you. It won't take long to do.
  2. Even minus the hometown fan in me as well as that Watt has been such a hugely positive community member, he'd be such a great addition to the team. A stronger pass rush would afford the Packers a better opportunity to go with a younger guy at CB to replace King.
  3. If Watt could get $8M more from the Bears than he could any other team, or more guaranteed years, that could well change his opinion of how close the team is to contending.
  4. What's funny to me is MLF, the QB coach and the offensive coordinator have all seen enough football that they all must have a pretty accurate idea of just what they have in Love, whether he'll be a star or a bust. But of course they'll never tell us that and we'll just have to keep guessing.
  5. Basketball and Football HOFs have always been predicated more on impact than statistics alone. Heck, baseball is slipping in that direction, too. At that, I don't know how Sterling Sharpe doesn't get in as that bridge into the Favre years after decades of the team being garbage. Also, class act by Shannon to spend much of his own HOF speech on how his brother should be there, too. That said, CBS just ran an article on 'Best player from every team not in the HOF' and they snubbed Sharpe for LeRoy Butler.
  6. I agree, it's definitely a make or break year for Budenholzer at least barring injury. He's already on strike two. Well, unless Giannis really loves him, but I get the impression that if things go poorly again Giannis will be on the warpath for some major changes and I wouldn't blame him. There's just a point you can't keep blaming the players on the court, at least not when you've already done so well in the regular season.
  7. In between a week of rain and an upcoming week of rain, it was short-sleeve weather here in the Carolinas at least just for today. Not sure how I needed 10 hours of sleep each of my two days off, but apparently I did. Sure felt nice, though.
  8. Jaws ruined cinema.
  9. I definitely agree on the cyclical nature of it. Plus the alternatives don't make near as much sense. Suddenly staying on some high plateau ignores its price history, and I think it's also safe to say it has some sort of value even if it is difficult to wrap your head around. One guy I watch is Dante Aches Crypto (one word), who talks a lot about the cycle and is always reminding people not to hold forever and see their earnings disappear in the dip. Plus I just put more trust in that perspective more than any "to the moon" or "it's rat poison" predictions. I just haven't been able to wrap my head around whether this cycle is predicated on timing (whatever Etherium 2.0 is I have no clue) or more a matter of dipping after it hits some price-point. Either way, Bruce, I think your idea of a slow withdrawal is the smartest one and I'll plan on doing the same. I'm thinking around late summer is when I'll start to pull back. At least that's the timeline people seem to be talking about.
  10. Peppers also wasn't an every-down DE his last couple years and I could see JJ being used the same way. Gary, Zadarius, Clark and JJ is a heck of a front four.
  11. My dream of selling weiners in a state park is likely dead. It's not $250 for the year as I'd understood, but $250 for the weekend. Yearly will require a contract, which I'll still look into, but it'll likely be considered a conflict of interest since I'm an employee. Was also looking at making about $1500 in a day by selling breakfast to the big bass tournaments at the Park, but I guess that's out, too. But there's a nearby gas station and I'll cross my fingers they'll let me sell there. Boy if I were younger I'd skip college and just build a commercial kitchen. My commissary charges $225/mo plus $50/mo for permanent parking there. Inside they only offer a grease trap, a washing sink, fridges and freezers. And they're the only one in all of Raleigh.
  12. Those aren't more Sesame Street videos, are they:)
  13. For some reason which I couldn't really wrap my head around, crypto seems to work in four-year cycles of climbing and falling. Assuming it happens again, Q2/Q3 will be right around peak time and where I'll be looking to jump out until everyone starts talking about how crypto is dead, at which point I'll jump back in. Though it's funny I've heard someone in the same interview first say "Oh Bitcoin price will stabilize because big investors are jumping in" and then two seconds later say "Buy now because the big investors aren't in it yet". Ellio Trades is a popular youtube channel where he over-hypes something new every day. But his recommendations also do see a bit of a bump from all his followers jumping on board. But the places to buy the weird/obscure ones are complicated and I've heard some warnings as far as leaving your money sitting there making it open to hacking/theft. So right now the process is too complicated for me. Plus I don't know if I trust having any real amount of money on some usb stick.
  14. CBS just ran a "What if Seattle traded Wilson?" article. This is going to be a ridiculous offseason.
  15. I can understand the desire for a commitment, though. Not necessarily for a bigger contract, but maybe there's one which would make the cap hit worse in the last few years and make it harder for him to be traded. If he thinks the writing's on the wall, I get where he would want to get ahead of the team and take more control over his own future.
  16. A few years ago I'd have definitely agreed that a B+ NFL guy would be preferred to an A+ college coach at the NFL level. But I don't know anymore; there does seem to be a bigger push not specifically for relative youth, but for someone with very new ideas, which often show up as surprising hires. Capers was a same-thing-different-name coach. So was Pettine. How happy are fans in Dallas where McCarthy still uses Bill Walsh's playbook? Granted, a team that's 13-3 and should be playing next weekend probably isn't going to take big risks with coaching hires. You bring in the guy who won't hit the HR, but you're more sure they'll at least advance the runner.
  17. The Lions have an out in Goff's contract after this coming season. Perfect opportunity to take Trey Lance or Mac Jones and give them a year on the bench before starting. Ideal opportunity to develop a QB, so why waste that by trading for Watson? Plus that team isn't getting much better if they give that many draft picks away. The Bears make the most sense for Watson.
  18. Article I read noted the Bucks are giving up 5% more 3-point shots than last year.
  19. That sounds identical to wash-rinse-repeat. No actual benefit to you, but it would sure make you run through a lot of Cascade.
  20. You could always put a sell stop order in. For example if you bought stock A at $50 and then it runs up to $75 a share you could put a sell stop order in at $75 and if the stock keeps on going up it won't trigger but once it gets within a few fractions of $75 it will trigger that sale thus locking in your $25 per share gain. Kinda slapped my forehead in reading that:) Thank you for that advice. Yeah, no reason I couldn't set up a trailing stop order with anything.
  21. Melvin Capital is on the hook $1 billion for every $7 increase in GME.
  22. I had some throwaway money so gambled on an OTC penny stock. 0.04 to 0.09 that day and then I jumped out. So now obviously I've convinced myself that they're always a winning bet /s. Of course it's at 0.4 now. I don't have fear of missing out so much as I often have regrets about getting out and then seeing it go up.
  23. A cousin of mine set one up after a disaster and got a lot of money from extended family (including myself). Two weeks later she buys a last-minute plane flight to adopt a disabled dog. She still sets up GoFundMe for everything, but nobody donates anymore.
  24. Some time ago I'd looked for what Rodgers would be worth in a trade and I only saw a pre-season comment saying he'd be worth a 1st and a 3rd. But that was also after last year when some folks thought he was declining and not headed for an MVP year. Raiders or Indianapolis seem to be the two places Rodgers would most want to go and who would trade for him.
  25. Bleacher Report has the article on it, too. Reasonable demand from Rodgers. Make a long-term commitment to me and I'll restructure to help you sign Linsley and Jones. Also pretty understandable that he wants to know for sure what his future is going to look like. He's earned that. And maybe if the Packers tell him that Love will be taking over, he'd want out sooner rather than later. Plus maybe at that point a restructure could still happen just to make it more feasible to trade him this offseason rather than next.
